• When initially agreeing to use XVan Lines to move my household goods, the total price was $7,800. At the pre-moving conversation, a week prior to the move the price increased to $11,000 and when the movers arrived the price increased to $14,410. • I asked and was re-assured that they would provide a weight ticket, only to have the movers communicate no-one communicated to them to get a weigh ticket. • My house move-in date changed from the initial date. When I communicated the change of delivery date to XVan Lines, I was assured this would not be a problem. Then I was called a week prior to the initial delivery date saying the goods were set to be dropped off and told from XVan lines no one had record of my communication with them about the change in date, even though I was assured multiple times from employees that the change in delivery date would be no problem. • Multiple items were severely damaged on the move, such as my dryer which the top was disconnected from the dryer; dining room table which we cannot use the leaf or extend the table due to the damage; along with many other items. When providing all documentation for damages and compensation, the company offered to pay $75.00. • When attempting to communicate with Xan Line representatives, I would consistently be told I would receive calls back but constantly would not get a call or communication back. I asked to talk with managers about my experiences but would not get a contact back. When asking representatives why they didn’t call me back, often the responses were that they were busy or sorry that they had forgot. I have 8 different documented instances where I was either hung up on or did not receive a phone call back from the company.
The awesome team of Daryl, Colton, and Tanner showed up on time and worked so quickly and professionally, the job was finished faster than I expected. The crew was so pleasant to have around that my stress melted away very quickly through the day! Although it was a very rainy day, there was no complaining, no issues from the guys. I liked how careful they were moving things through the hallway. Instead of forcing furniture through tight spaces they adjusted and took their time. That helped prevent any damage. The move ended up going smoothly.
They sent four hardworking movers and a big truck, and even though we had way more stuff than expected (it ended up taking two trips), they handled everything professionally and with great care. The team stayed positive, worked efficiently, and made what could have been a stressful day feel smooth and manageable. What a terrible experience. I was given an estimate. It was fair. Then the ugly started. Five days before the pickup my estimate was raised substantially. I removed a few things from the original estimate. And added a few things. The cubic feet only increased by about 25 cf. My estimate increased over $1500…. On their website they have a big X VanLines truck. Drivers with X VanLines t-shirts. I got a random truck. And random drivers. They refused to show me identification. They refused to show me their license to drive a truck. They were late, rude, and mean. The police were eventually called. They had all of my worldly possessions. It was incredibly stressful and scary. The delivery wasn’t much better. The driver had an awful attitude. X VanLines “Flat Pricing” and “No Hidden Surprises. Ever.” is a joke. Literally every part of this move was a surprise. The price increase. The location of my belongings. When I was going to receive my belongings. Who the people were that had my belongings. Please don’t hire this company. I have never been treated like this in my life. And please pass this on to friends and family.
Avoid this company at all costs... 1- We paid for premium packing and they did not provide protection for most of the items they box 2- We paid for 4 wardrobe boxes. got 2... and they didn't hang any clothes. They tossed all the clothes... suits, dresses, shoes in a box 3- Broke the screen on a 80 inch tv 4- Put a huge dent in both the washer and the dryer... Removing he enamel. 5- Did not deliver items such as a ladder, and a game system 6- Put a cast iron skillet on top of glassware 7 - Told us they could not get the truck on the street, so they needed to off load on another truck and charged us another $3800. 8- They only take cash... While they say they will take Zelle, it has a cap of $2500.. They say they will take a money order from the post office, but you don't know the amount until they arrive. We paid in total 13K for a move that took 3 hours to box/pack and 2 hours to unload. Almost zero furniture. I have moved professionally 5 times and this was an absolute joke. These people will destroy your items and hold your items hostage until you pay them, in cash.
