Extremely impressed with how the team took care of all my furniture and personal items. The moving estimate was accurate, and everything arrived without a scratch. Definitely the right choice for anyone planning a residential move.
They’re also extremely responsive with respect to providing COI’s and updating inventory even up until the night before. My move was done in 1 day, and the quote I received from intense movers was SUBSTANTIALLY less than other movers. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and this is definitely the way to go for any NYC move!
They arrived on time, were extremely professional, and handled all of our belongings with great care. They worked efficiently while still being careful, and throughout the entire move they were friendly, polite, and easy to work with. What a terrible experience. I was given an estimate. It was fair. Then the ugly started. Five days before the pickup my estimate was raised substantially. I removed a few things from the original estimate. And added a few things. The cubic feet only increased by about 25 cf. My estimate increased over $1500…. On their website they have a big X VanLines truck. Drivers with X VanLines t-shirts. I got a random truck. And random drivers. They refused to show me identification. They refused to show me their license to drive a truck. They were late, rude, and mean. The police were eventually called. They had all of my worldly possessions. It was incredibly stressful and scary. The delivery wasn’t much better. The driver had an awful attitude. X VanLines “Flat Pricing” and “No Hidden Surprises. Ever.” is a joke. Literally every part of this move was a surprise. The price increase. The location of my belongings. When I was going to receive my belongings. Who the people were that had my belongings. Please don’t hire this company. I have never been treated like this in my life. And please pass this on to friends and family.
The move required transporting a lot of valuable electronics, including a home theater setup and multiple monitors. The movers took great care in packing these sensitive items, using specialized padding and labeling fragile boxes clearly. Everything arrived in perfect condition.
Fantastic service! The team was on time, efficient, helpful, kind, and enjoyable to work with. They look an hour less time than I thought, brought their own tools and helped me take things out of the walls, hooked up my washer for me, asked me to confirm where everything goes, and nothing ended up broken. I am a single lady and I also really appreciated that no one made me feel uncomfortable. Everyone was friendly, conversational, and had a great attitude the whole move.
Moving to a new city was stressful, but these movers made it so much easier! They loaded everything efficiently, secured my belongings properly, and delivered on time! No missing boxes, no damaged furniture—just perfect service from start to finish! I’m beyond grateful for their professionalism!
