Moving company in Fort Lauderdale, FL
The move took longer than expected but they were patient throughout the process. To me, courtesy and a positive attitude is way more important than the profile of the company and how many moves they have done. They knocked it out of the park with him and his team. Highly recommended!
They were punctual, careful with everything, and made the whole process quick and stress-free. Everything was handled with great care. Keep it up, Value Added Moving!
I was moving cross country from Minnesota to Florida. I got several quotes from moving companies. I spoke with “Alexa” from Value Added Moving. She assured me that the quote she gave me was the final price. That as long and the furniture she had listed was all that was there , I wouldn’t owe anything more. Turns out the quote she gave me was just a brokerage fee. The moving people that showed up then quoted me their price, which was an additional $8k. This was after not showing up for 2 days and then when they did show up it was in a UHaul truck. Stay away. Just stay far away.
Crews move faster when the path is clear, so sweep the walkways and push furniture away from the walls the night before. A single-story move usually takes four to six hours for two bedrooms, depending on how much is packed and ready. Have a box of essentials set aside that does not go on the truck, including chargers, keys, and paperwork. When the crew arrives, point out the heavy pieces first so they can plan the loading order, and keep small rugs and mats rolled and taped so nobody trips. Watch the door frames as dressers come through and speak up if anything looks tight. Moves within the Fort Lauderdale area often wrap up by early afternoon if the truck is loaded in one pass. The foreman will go through the checklist before leaving, and your signed copy from Value Added Moving lists what was loaded.
They did a great job moving a French door refrigerator into my house. This older house has smaller doorways but he was able to maneuver the fridge through them, and did so without complaining or asking for more money. He's a standup guy with old school work ethics and values. Definitely a service provider I will use again. Thanks.
He was great to work with over the phone. I worked with 3 movers, and couldn’t of been happier! I will definitely call them again when I move. Absolutely the best, so professional from the first phone call, to the very end. If you’re looking for movers, stop looking, and hire them!!
He and his team really went above and beyond to make my daughters move easy and painless as possible. I can’t thank them enough. The price was accurate, no hidden fees or additional costs. I will definitely use them again or recommend them to anyone looking for a professional company and an excellent moving team.
Owner and his team demonstrated professionalism with excellent work quality. The move from Houston, TX to Miami, FL, was affordable and efficient. His services are highly recommended.
The team was awesome. We needed a move to storage fast. We booked the same weekend. They were efficient and pleasant to work with. Highly recommend for any move! Great cost!
The delivery crew will call about thirty minutes out, which gives you time to clear a path from the curb to the rooms. Walk through the truck with the driver as items come off, and mark any damage on the paperwork before signing. For a two-bedroom household, decide room placement ahead of time and label each piece so furniture lands where it belongs. Boxes should go in the right rooms too, even if you unpack over a few days. You have a short window after delivery to report issues, so inspect the big items first and photograph anything questionable. A move that ends in Fort Lauderdale usually finishes faster when the walkways are open and the air conditioning is running. If something looks off, contact Value Added Moving within the claims period so we can help you document it properly.
