Unfortunately, this company did not meet my expectations. The service lacked organization and attention to detail. I expected a smoother process and more reliable communication. I would recommend researching other options before booking.
This move included some older items that mean a lot to me, and I mentioned that before they started. The movers from United First Class Moving and Storage took that seriously and handled each piece carefully. They explained small details, so I knew what they were doing without feeling overwhelmed.
A dirty moving truck was sent. When they opened the doors, they smelled cigarette smoke and old food. They left my new mattress on the truck's dirty floor. After that, I hired a professional cleaner to deodorize my furnishings.
The movers botched the job of securing my refrigerator, so it fell over while in the vehicle. Upon arrival, the door had dents and the motor was non-functional. They shrugged and said, "It's just cosmetic," but the repairs cost me $700.
Beyond a scam. When I called I told them the most important thing to me #1 was that I could get my belongs moved in with me at the latest on 12/13. Donnie on the phone assured me it could be done, but I had to move my pickup date up 2 days. Okay, no problem. Drivers arrive to pickup my belongings 12/7 in Dallas. They tell me they are going to AUSTIN (the wrong direction). Okay, whatever as long as the stuff still gets there. The movers didn’t dissemble furniture, and made 3 whole new boxes from things that were secure in furniture drawers to charge me more CuFt. On top of this they charged me for a “stair fee” despite Donnie telling me the 1st flight on stairs is free. I live on the ground floor. There is an upstairs, nothing beyond that. Lie! Today, 12/11 I get confirmation I can move into my apartment tomorrow (12/12) and I call to double check. EVERYTHING I GAVE THEM IS STILL IN AUSTIN. 5 days later and they haven’t moved a thing. Donnie assured me I needed the earlier pickup date to get my things on a truck headed to Florida. Yet 5 days later they haven’t left Austin. This company is an absolute scam, they won’t move your things until the latest possible date. Avoid at all costs and pray for me while I fight them for reimbursement and compensation
I had to move my son’s stuff to his college dorm, and I wasn’t sure how to fit everything in one trip. The movers packed his things neatly and loaded them without wasting space. They even helped carry boxes up to the dorm room, which was a big help. The whole process was quick, and nothing got mixed up. It made the day easier for both of us.

The good thing…they arrived on time and followed directions on how to get to my unit. However, they were messy movers. They left the empty plastic rolls just on the floor in my apartment, bumped and messed up so many corners that I’ll have to pay for. My bar stools have cracks in them. Would I use them again, absolutely Not what I paid and then to have to come and pay my apartments for damages that were cause on the doors from the move.
When I moved from my studio downtown, the loading spot outside was busy because cars kept stopping there. The team from Richard waited for small gaps and moved things out safely without making it feel rushed. Once we got to the new place, they asked where each box should go, so I didn’t have to move things around again later.
The movers handled my townhouse move, which included three flights of stairs. They carried the heavy wardrobe and large mattress without a single bump. Everything was done in about four hours. I couldn’t be happier with the service.
