This company made my move to my new home fun! The crew was hardworking, effective communicators and careful with everything. I was at ease leaving them in charge of my property.
We had a lot of delicate decorations and glass cabinets that were very important to us, and we had to take them along with us on our family move. The staff members referred to each item as if it were their own. They were handled attentively, which gave us full confidence in them. Can't say we could have asked for a better experience.
The team worked together smoothly throughout the move. Fragile belongings received extra protection, while larger furniture was handled with the proper equipment. Everything was unloaded carefully at the new home.
The move had several avoidable problems from beginning to end. There was a late arrival, unclear communication, and the work took considerably longer than expected. I spent much of the day trying to keep everything on track. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet my expectations.
The move of our office was done in time, and all workstations were configured properly. Fantastic teamwork throughout.
The team was hired for a long-distance move, and I was concerned about the damage during the move. The crew took photographs of each major furniture piece before wrapping, numbered a list of all items on the truck and then sealed the truck on-site. 5 days later, when it arrived, nothing had changed, and all the boxes were delivered the same way. I can say I am very impressed!
The move started off okay, but it quickly became obvious the crew lacked experience. They bumped walls, scratched my dining table, and worked so slowly that I had to help move boxes myself.
We moved and had to temporarily store our goods for 6 days before we moved in. The company was willing to store our belongings in their climate-controlled storage unit. All was tight and strapped. We were happy to see that nothing was damaged when they returned everything!
United Express Moving & Storage gave very deceptive cost quotes throughout the process. Their final cost was 40% higher (final $2,500 vs original $1,500) than the original estimate while the number of items actually moved only had 2 additional items vs the original estimate. Both the sales rep (who provided the initial estimate) and the Quality Control person (who finalized items to be moved), made huge misrepresentations and extremely underestimated the cubic footage and cost. And they do NOT offer any compromise, such as reducing my final cost, even a token amount. And they hold your furniture hostage until you pay in full. DO NOT USE THIS BROKER FOR ANY MOVES!!!
I wouldn't recommend this company. The movers showed up without enough equipment, struggled to move basic furniture, and wasted time figuring things out. The final bill was much higher because the job took far longer than it should have.
