Moving day was handled very efficiently by the team. They protected the larger pieces before moving them and took care with smaller belongings. Their organized approach made settling in easier.
I had thought that I would have at least one broken piece after I moved, but thankfully everything made it to me in good condition. I had lots of friends recommend United Express Moving And Storage movers to me, and I can see why. They wrapped up my glass dining table and I was amazed that nothing happened to it during the journey. They were careful with my delicate objects and checked to make sure everything was in order before they set off.
I never leave bad reviews, but I just had literally the worst customer service experience in my 41 years. My family and I are facing a life changing move in the next year or two (and it could very well be less, which is adding to the stress), and in preparation I am attempting to figure out how much to budget for moving expenses. I was up front that we are NOT moving immediately and that I understand that the quote will not be 100% accurate, I just wanted an idea of their prices in comparison with some other quotes I've received to help winnow down which company I'd like to go with. Every single other company I've reached out to was happy to give me a general quote. Every single other company was polite and respectful, save this one. For whatever reason the "moving specialist" who called me this morning decided to give me the third degree, asking me "what my angle was" and essentially making me feel like I'd committed a major mistake in "wasting" his valuable time. I come from a customer service background and was so shocked by his rude behavior that I was stunned speechless and actually got that pit in my stomach that I used to when I was doing call center work and got a screamer. Uncomfortable doesn't even begin to describe it. I was being grilled over an innocent attempt to compare their services to others, and the agent was actually escalating the call as I was trying to deescalate it (again, background in CS. I know how to deal with jerks on the phone). He told me inflation and oil prices would make the estimate go up as more time passed, I told him I understood. I *just* wanted a handle on their rates vs others. When he raised his voice and rudely asked me what I thought I was doing, I came to my senses, remembered that I was the customer and HE called ME, and I told him "never mind" and terminated the call. That man has no business being on the phone and if that's his one function at the company he should be sacked. He made me incredibly uncomfortable. It's hours later and I'm STILL bothered by it. At least when I was working at the call center I had my defenses up. I DO NOT expect to be spoken to in that manner by someone representing a service that I am planning on using, which is why I've been caught flat footed. This was the worst treatment I have ever had as a customer in my life, and I absolutely will not give this company my business and will be telling my in-laws who are making the same move in 4 months to avoid them as well. A simple "we don't give quotes more than a few months out" would have sufficed, but their agent both made me feel like an idiot for bothering to fill out their online questionnaire and for bothering to answer the phone. 1/10, avoid at all costs.

Very disappointing experience with this moving company. The staff was unprofessional and the service was not satisfactory. Communication and organization could have been much better. I would not recommend them based on my experience.

They worked together perfectly, and the transition went off without a hitch. Everyone worked really hard and didn't give up until they gave me what I asked for. No task would be too big or small for them to complete.
These guys were able to squeeze me in within 24 hours at no extra cost when my original movers from CA to NY had to cancel at the last minute because of how carefully and carefully they handled all of my belongings.
Even though I've moved quite a few times before, I wanted to make sure to thank United Express Moving & Storage for their review, which made what might have been a very stressful situation much more bearable.
United Express Moving & Storage gave very deceptive cost quotes throughout the process. Their final cost was 40% higher (final $2,500 vs original $1,500) than the original estimate while the number of items actually moved only had 2 additional items vs the original estimate. Both the sales rep (who provided the initial estimate) and the Quality Control person (who finalized items to be moved), made huge misrepresentations and extremely underestimated the cubic footage and cost. And they do NOT offer any compromise, such as reducing my final cost, even a token amount. And they hold your furniture hostage until you pay in full. DO NOT USE THIS BROKER FOR ANY MOVES!!!
