Very disappointing experience with this moving company. The staff was unprofessional and the service was not satisfactory. Communication and organization could have been much better. I would not recommend them based on my experience.
My coffee table, which has an awkward glass top, was handled with precision—they removed the glass, wrapped it separately, and secured the frame with stretch wrap. They brought wardrobe boxes so I could transfer my hanging clothes straight from my closet—such a time-saver! At my new apartment, they carefully maneuvered my king-sized bed frame up a tricky, narrow stairwell without a single scratch on the walls. They tightened some screws on my wobbly dining chairs before leaving. Talk about going the extra mile!
Moving a baby grand piano is no joke, but United Express Moving & Storage handled it with extreme care. They arrived with a heavy-duty piano board, thick straps, and a hydraulic lift for the truck. They carefully wrapped each leg separately, secured the keys with a felt-lined cover, and moved it using a strategic tilting method to prevent stress on the frame. At my new place, they reassembled it and gave me a tip on when to retune it after the move.
United Express Moving & Storage gave very deceptive cost quotes throughout the process. Their final cost was 40% higher (final $2,500 vs original $1,500) than the original estimate while the number of items actually moved only had 2 additional items vs the original estimate. Both the sales rep (who provided the initial estimate) and the Quality Control person (who finalized items to be moved), made huge misrepresentations and extremely underestimated the cubic footage and cost. And they do NOT offer any compromise, such as reducing my final cost, even a token amount. And they hold your furniture hostage until you pay in full. DO NOT USE THIS BROKER FOR ANY MOVES!!!
The crew worked hard and kept a positive attitude throughout the move. They protected the furniture, handled the boxes carefully, and stayed organized during unloading. Overall, the relocation went smoothly.
The move had several avoidable problems from beginning to end. There was a late arrival, unclear communication, and the work took considerably longer than expected. I spent much of the day trying to keep everything on track. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet my expectations.
My original movers canceled the night before my move, leaving me in a panic. I called United Express Moving & Storage, and they somehow fit me in for the next morning. When Brandon, Andrew, and Phil arrived, they wasted no time getting to work. My couch wouldn’t fit through my apartment doorway, but they had tools on hand to remove the legs in minutes. They neatly wrapped my dishware in packing paper before placing it in sturdy, double-walled boxes. They had straps to hoist my heavy dresser down a flight of stairs safely. At my new place, they helped reassemble my bed frame and made sure everything was placed exactly where I wanted it. Truly lifesavers!
I had items that were delicate and I didn't want to move them, but this team took extra care with them. They took special care with the padding, treated it in the most delicate way, and made sure it all made it home. Excellent service!
The move started off okay, but it quickly became obvious the crew lacked experience. They bumped walls, scratched my dining table, and worked so slowly that I had to help move boxes myself.
I had to relocate for a new job opportunity, and this moving company made the entire process a breeze. The team arrived on time, packed my fragile items with care, and even helped disassemble and reassemble my furniture. What impressed me most was their efficiency – no wasted time, no damages, and everything was delivered exactly as promised. I definitely plan on hiring them again!
