Moving company in Palm Beach Gardens, FL
I wouldn't recommend this company. The movers showed up without enough equipment, struggled to move basic furniture, and wasted time figuring things out. The final bill was much higher because the job took far longer than it should have.
United Express Moving & Storage gave very deceptive cost quotes throughout the process. Their final cost was 40% higher (final $2,500 vs original $1,500) than the original estimate while the number of items actually moved only had 2 additional items vs the original estimate. Both the sales rep (who provided the initial estimate) and the Quality Control person (who finalized items to be moved), made huge misrepresentations and extremely underestimated the cubic footage and cost. And they do NOT offer any compromise, such as reducing my final cost, even a token amount. And they hold your furniture hostage until you pay in full. DO NOT USE THIS BROKER FOR ANY MOVES!!!
Moving out of a second-story apartment is a lot of walking back and forth. This crew didn't seem to mind the stairs and kept moving boxes until the unit was empty. They were careful with the door frames and didn't leave any bumping things on the walls while carrying the sofa. I followed the van to my new place, and they spent the afternoon putting the furniture in the rooms I pointed out. It was a productive day from start to finish. It was a solid experience, and I will use this specific service again if I ever have to move.
We moved from a third-floor walk-up to a first-floor apartment. All those stairs were daunting. The United Express Moving & Storage crew was in great shape and had a good system going. One guy would be coming down as another was going up, so there was no waiting. They got our two-bedroom place completely moved in under five hours.
Usually, I'm the one double-checking every little thing. This time, I didn't feel the need. They handled the layout and placed things where they made sense. I could actually focus on getting comfortable in the new place.
At initially, things went smoothly when I hired this firm to help with my move. If I contacted and cancelled my reservation five days before my planned move, they promised a complete refund. My move fell through, though, and when I tried to cancel my reservation and get my deposit back, not only did the agent who claimed to be available around-the-clock not return my calls, but customer service also told me to send an email to the support team. I never heard back from them, so I strongly advise against using this company.
I had thought that I would have at least one broken piece after I moved, but thankfully everything made it to me in good condition. I had lots of friends recommend United Express Moving And Storage movers to me, and I can see why. They wrapped up my glass dining table and I was amazed that nothing happened to it during the journey. They were careful with my delicate objects and checked to make sure everything was in order before they set off.
Very disappointing experience with this moving company. The staff was unprofessional and the service was not satisfactory. Communication and organization could have been much better. I would not recommend them based on my experience.
