Horrible experience and be AWARE. So they quote cheaply and you will get another call a week or two before where they will ask about all the demotions of everything you own and try to upsell you. They wanted to raise my quote by about 1.5k but I don’t own a lot and told them no they then offered 50% off that original quote I said no. The rep then said “ I just don’t want them to up charge you on the day of”. So I kept that in mind and when the movers came I told them not to pack anything over my paid amount. So after they finish they come back and say they had to charge my an extra $200 in order to fit everything. The amount was so low I said whatever and paid it. FYI they will charge for everything: if their truck doesn’t fit in the parking area, if your location is difficult to enter, if they have to walk over a certain distance they will charge for every extra foot walked. Anyway now for the terrible part I get a call that the truck with my stuff is coming, I come home to meet him and it’s a giant semi trailer. The driver says his partners are coming to unload the trailer. So he comes inside gives me the receipt and asks me to pay the remaining balance, I do he then goes back to his truck. About 30 minutes later he starts unloading the stuff inside and brings in my fan which has a broken base for some reason and says his partner’s are taking forever because they smoke to much. I laugh it off he then says his truck can’t be on my road so he has to move it I say alright he then leaves. With all my stuff and money. I realize he is not coming back and call him he says he has to get another truck and that’s the last I have heard. The next day I call the moving company there’s some rude manager who doesn’t seem to care and he tells me it’s gonna cost $350 dollars to buy a shuttle to bring my stuff now because the roads aren’t graded for a Semi. Mind you this is a giant residential street so if there truck can’t be in this street I don’t know think there’s a single street in America that would allow it. So I don’t see why they use such giant trucks for such little moves. So I ask him why he took final payment and left he says nothing about it but tries to say “I’ll send you the money back if it’ll make you feel better” knowing the money is not issue but the fact their driver took off with all my stuff and is now charging me more to bring it back. Anyway they finally come back charge me $350 because they had to get a Uhual, drop off my stuff, with all my furniture disassembled and three broken items. Basically got scammed for an extra $550, and received broken furniture.
I set up service with Regal Van Lines LLC on May 18th. They represented themselves as an moving company on the phone, but they are actually a broker. I got a call on June 20th for a quality assurance check. I told him the items and about how much truck space I would need. That jumped by bill from $3000+ to $7500+. I was charged for packaging materials, even though I had everything bubbled wrap already. I decided to remove some items and transport them myself. He refused to void the Bill of Lading and draft a new one. I thought I could use the card on file to pay for the movers. That turned into another fiasco. The top worse moment for me had to be the rep telling me he’ll check the recorded calls because I’m wrong and I’m a liar. Then called me back 2hrs later telling me the calls had been deleted. Even though they just listened to them early that day when I called in for another issue with them. I was also told that I was charged so much because I didn’t have a big load, so they would’ve lost money on my account (this came from the movers). The Bill of Lading also wasn’t accurate, there was less. The itemized checklist was outdated too. It took the movers (2 individuals) less than 40 mins to load everything.

They were able to schedule us on short notice and worked tirelessly to get everything loaded and unloaded within the timeframe. They maneuvered some bulky furniture through tight corners without a scratch. We were so grateful for their flexibility and hard work.

I relocated my small business from a shared office to a home workspace. There were desks, file cabinets, and a few computers that I needed to handle carefully. The team was focused and careful from the start. They labeled everything clearly so I knew what went where, and it helped me avoid downtime. In September 2024, we contracted with Regal Van Lines to move our household goods from Tucson, AZ to Drain, OR. We also solicited multiple quotes to move a 45’ High Cubic shipping container between the same locations. Regal Van Line’s quote was the lowest, and because we had already contracted with them to move our household goods, and because we had not yet encountered their Bait and Switch tactics (described in FMCSA Report 181749567), on 10/01/2024, we also contracted with them to move the shipping container. Their pricing estimate was $5,000, and we were required to make a $2,000 advance payment. They were supposed to pick up the container on 10/27/2024. They never, ever, ever moved the shipping container. I called them at least 6 times to find out the status and when it would be moved. Every time, I was given an excuse for why my questions could not be answered at the time, and a promise to call me back before the end of the day. Not one time did I ever receive the promised call back. I presume that because they encountered such an enormous push back on their Bait and Switch tactic to move our household goods, they decided it would not be prudent or feasible to try to do it on the shipping container, also. Regardless of the reason, the fact is that they never ever made any attempt whatsoever to move our shipping container. Two and half months later, we contracted with another carrier who moved the container in less than a week for about $8,300. We have followed Regal Van Lines procedures to contest charges or request a refund. We have received no response whatsoever from them. At this point, in regards specifically to the shipping of the container, they have $2,000 of our money, refuse to give it back, and have taken no actions whatsoever to move the container. It was still sitting in its original location as of 12/19/24 (it was picked up on that date by the other carrier).
The job was finished in record time because they always showed up on time and worked hard. They took great care of our things and made sure that both the old and new places were safe.
