A quality moving company. Moving our business was even more stressful than our home but it was all in a day's work with no issues with the team, and I’d use them again in a heartbeat.
I was terrified about putting all the furniture back together once it had to be dismantled. In addition to disassembling everything swiftly, the movers reassembled flawlessly, even tightening loose screws that I forgot.
I had a long-distance move that included fragile art pieces, a vintage lamp, and some tricky electronics. James and the team from Regal Van Lines were amazing from start to finish. They brought extra packing materials, labeled everything clearly, and triple-checked the loading process. Not a single thing was damaged.
In September 2024, we contracted with Regal Van Lines to move our household goods from Tucson, AZ to Drain, OR. We also solicited multiple quotes to move a 45’ High Cubic shipping container between the same locations. Regal Van Line’s quote was the lowest, and because we had already contracted with them to move our household goods, and because we had not yet encountered their Bait and Switch tactics (described in FMCSA Report 181749567), on 10/01/2024, we also contracted with them to move the shipping container. Their pricing estimate was $5,000, and we were required to make a $2,000 advance payment. They were supposed to pick up the container on 10/27/2024. They never, ever, ever moved the shipping container. I called them at least 6 times to find out the status and when it would be moved. Every time, I was given an excuse for why my questions could not be answered at the time, and a promise to call me back before the end of the day. Not one time did I ever receive the promised call back. I presume that because they encountered such an enormous push back on their Bait and Switch tactic to move our household goods, they decided it would not be prudent or feasible to try to do it on the shipping container, also. Regardless of the reason, the fact is that they never ever made any attempt whatsoever to move our shipping container. Two and half months later, we contracted with another carrier who moved the container in less than a week for about $8,300. We have followed Regal Van Lines procedures to contest charges or request a refund. We have received no response whatsoever from them. At this point, in regards specifically to the shipping of the container, they have $2,000 of our money, refuse to give it back, and have taken no actions whatsoever to move the container. It was still sitting in its original location as of 12/19/24 (it was picked up on that date by the other carrier).
I had to relocate from a 2-bedroom apartment to a condo in another city, and I was honestly dreading the long-distance process. But this company handled everything from planning to execution. Communication was steady the entire time, and nothing was delayed or damaged. I wouldn’t think twice about hiring them again!
