Worst Experience with a Mover in my life
When planning a move, some things might seem obvious. You want to get a price for getting your belongings packed, placed on a truck, and delivered safely to your new home. You might also consider guarantees regarding the possibility of a loss due to damage or misplaced items. The quality of all of the work being offered also matters. Well, Midland Van Lines fell far short in every category and many others. Beware! This company is NOT a moving company with trucks and workers that are hired and supervised by a corporate structure. The fact is that the moving company business consists of movers and those who contract with movers. Midland will work very hard to convince you, if you inquire, that they are a full-service moving company. Do NOT believe them. They are a contractor. We saw two different trucks and two different crews. The competence of each crew was also quite different. Read their contract carefully if you are foolish enough to hire them. Two items stand out. They cover loss by paying by the pound but charge for the move by the cubic foot. They pay 60 cents a pound for damaged items. They do not cover any furniture made with fiberboard, such as almost all furniture sold by IKEA. Midland Van Lines failed to give me a set price. They gave me an estimate, called one week before the move, and altered it based on exact descriptions of items. They then upcharge for that change. We refused to accept the higher estimate. On the day of the move, the contract states that you shouldn’t allow the movers to place any items on the truck until they give you a guaranteed final price. They refused. Now what could we do? We were stuck. So, delay our move? Not possible in almost any scenario, right? So, we let them load the truck. When finished, they said, we will either lower or raise the price based on the final cubic feet calculations. Did we get to measure? No, we had to trust them. The contract meant nothing. The increased cost was $1282.80. Now, about our move. They lost items and couldn’t find them. They delivered items that weren’t ours and didn’t attempt to recover them for their owners. They refused to cover the loss because of that fiberboard clause. They offered a $50 courtesy payment for my loss of over $450 of items that didn’t arrive. Two different moving crews and trucks were involved in my move. I paid three different entities, and only one was Midland Van Lines. The others were all contractors. You will find many reviews of this company, and they will all include some version of our story. Hire a company that gives you a set price, reasonable guarantees for loss, and has equipment and crew hired by them. This usually means someone local. Beware, some companies are NOT local and have similar or the same name as local companies. We believe our move was unsatisfactory due to the upcharge and undelivered items.

Friendly bunch of workers
I did inform Midland van lines of my big art collection that needed their extra care. The four movers sent over by the company were careful while handling my art. They came equipped with boxes that would fit my paintings. It was very impressive seeing how efficient these men were. Not many movers care for your valuables. But these movers were exceptional. They were very friendly too. I guess I needed that given how expensive the art was and I needed to trust them. They delivered all my valuables on time and in great condition. Every piece of artwork survived the trip very successfully.

Efficiency is their middle name
My move was so simple and easy because I chose to hire Midland van lines. They are by no means cheap but they give you great value for your money. In fact, given how fast their movers work, I think I ended up saving some dollars! One of our coffee tables suffered a little damage while traveling but I totally forgive them for it. The movers were on time during arrival and delivery. They had an easygoing attitude which I dug! It was a very easy move and I cannot thank these guys enough.

I loved how they dealt with every situation
This moving company is very experienced and skilled. They have a solution for everything. The day they came to work, the lift was not working. They did not mind at all and they moved everything by the stairs. They packed everything so well that nothing got damaged. On delivery, they could not get the furniture in from the door. You know what they did? Somehow, they got it in from the window! It was so amazing! I have never seen such an amazing crew. I will use them again and I will recommend them. Midland van lines is like no other!

Extraordinary set of movers
We were moving last month and Midland van lines was the moving company we hired. Their performance was much better than average. My main concern during this move was my old pieces of furniture. But the very capable and experienced mover took great care of them. They carried everything very systematically. Their packing skills were great. I haven’t seen movers who are so professional before. I chatted up with the foreman and he told me that this company only hires the best movers. That must be true given how efficient my crew was. They didn’t damage anything on the way and made the delivery on time. I’m very impressed with them.

Safe delivery
My granddaughter loves the piano and I wanted to give her my old piano for her birthday which was coming up soon. I contacted Midland van lines to move my piano. It was a bit old so it had to be well taken care of. I do not know what they did but when I went to see my granddaughter last week, I saw that it was in very good condition. I think they even cleaned it a little bit. There were no damages and there were no scratches! Unbelievable! Thank you so much! I will not forget this! Good job!

We needed their expertise
Midland van lines had moved my sister-in-law a few months back. She’s the one who suggested the company to us. We are a family of 6 and so we had a lot of stuff that needed to be moved. It didn’t shake the movers at all. They methodically went through everything boxing them categorically. The boxes and other stuff were safely loaded onto the van and they set off. All our valuables were safe when they arrived at our new house. I have to mention that they charged us less than the initial estimate. It was a very easy move.

If you need a very good moving company and also at a reasonable amount, hire Midland van lines. They are the one for you! They are very efficient, skilled and professional. They will move you like no other! They have the best team that will take care of everything for you. I hired them a month ago and they made my move so easy and smooth. They came on time and packed everything with care. Not just the packing, they moved everything very carefully too! There were no damages in the end and the price did not change. You can rely on this moving company!

I like to be in charge
Recently I hired this moving company to move me cross country and they gave me an excellent crew. They were very obedient, caring, professional and experienced. I was in charge the entire time and the moving crew did exactly what I wanted. They moved everything so smoothly! Everything was delivered without any damages and without any scratches. It all went well! Their pricing was low and it did not change in the end. Whenever moving will come up, I will hire Midland van lines without any hesitation! They are worth it!

Hiring them was the best idea!
I got to know about Midland van lines from a colleague and I am so glad that I hired them! They made my life so much easier! I was so tense about moving, but the guys from this company made this experience very smooth and easy. The guys came on time and moved everything with care. They moved the furniture very nicely and did not damage anything while they were passing the narrow hallways. They were clearly very efficient and professional.
