Positive experience
I had a positive experience with Midland van lines. They gave me a good deal and moved me like a king! The moving team came on time and packed everything up very quickly. All the glassware, fragile items and expensive items were nicely packed and moved. The furniture was also nicely carried and moved. Not a single dent and not a single damage! I really loved how everything was returned back to me in one piece. My experience was great! I highly recommend this moving company!

Well-coordinated movers
I was astonished by how easy they made my move. The movers from Midland van lines were just unbelievable. They showed up early on the moving day and got to work immediately. Their packing skills were seriously out of this world. Every single piece was packed so delicately. The moving process went without any issues. The delivery was made right on time. I really have come to expect perfection from Midland van lines. If they deliver anything less than that, I would be quite disappointed.

I loved how they dealt with every situation
This moving company is very experienced and skilled. They have a solution for everything. The day they came to work, the lift was not working. They did not mind at all and they moved everything by the stairs. They packed everything so well that nothing got damaged. On delivery, they could not get the furniture in from the door. You know what they did? Somehow, they got it in from the window! It was so amazing! I have never seen such an amazing crew. I will use them again and I will recommend them. Midland van lines is like no other!

Very Efficient
They were extremely friendly and super efficient. I will definitely recommend them going forward. The movers were eager to help and went above and beyond what I expected. Clearly they were a good team and got the done job fast, safely, and with no damage. I thank you all for your help.

Best by a mile
Midland van lines is probably the cheapest moving company you can find. Actually, their prices were the reason why I hired them in the first place. I wasn’t expecting them to be exceptional. But they surprised me in every way possible. The movers showed up on time. The crew was very strong and energetic. My third-floor walkup apartment was a complete non-issue to them. They worked tirelessly for 2 hours to pack and load everything from my apartment. The delivery was made the next day and all my valuables were safe. This is the best moving company I have come across.

WARNING: Do Not Hire This Company – Complete Fraud
Please read this before hiring them. This company is a total scam. Everything they promise is a lie. They subcontract local, unprofessional laborers who handled my belongings carelessly and caused extensive damage. The only smooth part of the process was the initial conversation with the salesperson, Luke Sullivan, who made everything sound perfect—but it was all deception. The day before the scheduled pickup, the office called to confirm a pickup window of 10 AM to noon. However, on the day of, the driver called and said he’d arrive by 3 PM. He didn’t show up until 5 PM. Two other so-called “professional movers” arrived 30 minutes later, reeking of marijuana and clearly under the influence. The first thing the driver asked was whether they had any tools, and they said no. That should tell you everything. They didn’t finish loading until 11 PM leaving several things behind, because they did not have room in the truck. The driver then told me he was heading straight to my destination and that I needed to be there to receive the delivery or it would be offloaded elsewhere and I’d have to arrange transport myself. Based on this, I changed my travel plans. The next day, while I was en route to Florida, I texted the driver for an update. He replied saying his plans changed and he no longer had my things—he told me to call the office. After about 20 calls, I finally heard back from another driver two weeks later. This second driver also gave me a 10 AM–12 PM delivery window—but didn’t show up until 7:30 PM. When they finally unloaded my items, about 85% of them were damaged. Some things were still usable, but most were destroyed or badly broken. This was an awful experience from start to finish. Avoid this company at all costs.

Worst Experience with a Mover in my life
When planning a move, some things might seem obvious. You want to get a price for getting your belongings packed, placed on a truck, and delivered safely to your new home. You might also consider guarantees regarding the possibility of a loss due to damage or misplaced items. The quality of all of the work being offered also matters. Well, Midland Van Lines fell far short in every category and many others. Beware! This company is NOT a moving company with trucks and workers that are hired and supervised by a corporate structure. The fact is that the moving company business consists of movers and those who contract with movers. Midland will work very hard to convince you, if you inquire, that they are a full-service moving company. Do NOT believe them. They are a contractor. We saw two different trucks and two different crews. The competence of each crew was also quite different. Read their contract carefully if you are foolish enough to hire them. Two items stand out. They cover loss by paying by the pound but charge for the move by the cubic foot. They pay 60 cents a pound for damaged items. They do not cover any furniture made with fiberboard, such as almost all furniture sold by IKEA. Midland Van Lines failed to give me a set price. They gave me an estimate, called one week before the move, and altered it based on exact descriptions of items. They then upcharge for that change. We refused to accept the higher estimate. On the day of the move, the contract states that you shouldn’t allow the movers to place any items on the truck until they give you a guaranteed final price. They refused. Now what could we do? We were stuck. So, delay our move? Not possible in almost any scenario, right? So, we let them load the truck. When finished, they said, we will either lower or raise the price based on the final cubic feet calculations. Did we get to measure? No, we had to trust them. The contract meant nothing. The increased cost was $1282.80. Now, about our move. They lost items and couldn’t find them. They delivered items that weren’t ours and didn’t attempt to recover them for their owners. They refused to cover the loss because of that fiberboard clause. They offered a $50 courtesy payment for my loss of over $450 of items that didn’t arrive. Two different moving crews and trucks were involved in my move. I paid three different entities, and only one was Midland Van Lines. The others were all contractors. You will find many reviews of this company, and they will all include some version of our story. Hire a company that gives you a set price, reasonable guarantees for loss, and has equipment and crew hired by them. This usually means someone local. Beware, some companies are NOT local and have similar or the same name as local companies. We believe our move was unsatisfactory due to the upcharge and undelivered items.

I like to be in charge
Recently I hired this moving company to move me cross country and they gave me an excellent crew. They were very obedient, caring, professional and experienced. I was in charge the entire time and the moving crew did exactly what I wanted. They moved everything so smoothly! Everything was delivered without any damages and without any scratches. It all went well! Their pricing was low and it did not change in the end. Whenever moving will come up, I will hire Midland van lines without any hesitation! They are worth it!

Safe delivery
My granddaughter loves the piano and I wanted to give her my old piano for her birthday which was coming up soon. I contacted Midland van lines to move my piano. It was a bit old so it had to be well taken care of. I do not know what they did but when I went to see my granddaughter last week, I saw that it was in very good condition. I think they even cleaned it a little bit. There were no damages and there were no scratches! Unbelievable! Thank you so much! I will not forget this! Good job!

Best for long distance move
Midland van lines has done a great job with my long distance move recently. I cannot ask any more from them because they moved me very smoothly and peacefully and within the given time. Their price was low and very reasonable. The moving team came on time and quickly wrapped and moved all of my belongings. They were very careful and serious and not a single damage was found in the end. I highly recommend this moving company because I found no flaws. I was moved without any stress and without any damages! Thank you so much!
