Very resourceful company
Midland van lines probably has the biggest network in the country. I hired them to move my belongings on such short notice. Even though they came on such short notice, they didn’t rush through packing. They were very thorough and packed everything carefully. I saw them loading our belongings very systematically onto the vans. Both the vans arrived together and all our belongings were unharmed. I am very grateful for the prompt response given by them in time of need. I can’t thank them enough.

Their capabilities are unchallengeable
We had 26 years of things that needed to be moved. So, they had to pack a lot of belongings and it certainly wasn’t an easy job. I did warn them beforehand. The crew came prepared. The 3 men worked tirelessly for 4 hours packing each and every useless thing we own. They didn’t even ask for any breaks. The organization and coordination among the movers were fantastic. The foreman was very friendly and helpful. They managed to deliver all our things in great condition and I really have no doubts about the capabilities of these fantastic movers.

I am highly impressed
I hired Midland van lines for my move because they have such an amazing reputation. I always hear people complaining about how much they were overcharged but they gave me quite a reasonable quote and they stuck to it till the end. I hired 3 of their men to help me with the move and they all arrived very much on time. There were no intentional delays and everything went very smoothly. I think these guys are really good at what they do.

The movers got swag
We are a couple of hippies always relocating from state to state. Midland van lines is our go-to moving company for several reasons. We don’t own many belongings but whatever we do own are very precious to us. They always make sure that our valuables travel well. We are not very keen on being punctual. The same cannot be said about the movers though. Efficiency is not our forte. But these guys take it very seriously. When you live a carefree life, it helps when a company like Midland van lines takes whatever stress that may have been caused to you by the demons of relocation. Did I mention how cool these movers are? For reference, for your smart eyes only, I hired them last for a Topeka- Santa Fe move in the first month of the running year.

Never seen such efficient movers
We were relocating to another state. We went for Midland van lines because they gave us the lowest quote. They were very efficient at everything. The movers arrived on time and everything went really smoothly. Nothing was broken or damaged when they made the delivery. They really made our move easy. They are definitely worth hiring again.

Worst Experience with a Mover in my life
When planning a move, some things might seem obvious. You want to get a price for getting your belongings packed, placed on a truck, and delivered safely to your new home. You might also consider guarantees regarding the possibility of a loss due to damage or misplaced items. The quality of all of the work being offered also matters. Well, Midland Van Lines fell far short in every category and many others. Beware! This company is NOT a moving company with trucks and workers that are hired and supervised by a corporate structure. The fact is that the moving company business consists of movers and those who contract with movers. Midland will work very hard to convince you, if you inquire, that they are a full-service moving company. Do NOT believe them. They are a contractor. We saw two different trucks and two different crews. The competence of each crew was also quite different. Read their contract carefully if you are foolish enough to hire them. Two items stand out. They cover loss by paying by the pound but charge for the move by the cubic foot. They pay 60 cents a pound for damaged items. They do not cover any furniture made with fiberboard, such as almost all furniture sold by IKEA. Midland Van Lines failed to give me a set price. They gave me an estimate, called one week before the move, and altered it based on exact descriptions of items. They then upcharge for that change. We refused to accept the higher estimate. On the day of the move, the contract states that you shouldn’t allow the movers to place any items on the truck until they give you a guaranteed final price. They refused. Now what could we do? We were stuck. So, delay our move? Not possible in almost any scenario, right? So, we let them load the truck. When finished, they said, we will either lower or raise the price based on the final cubic feet calculations. Did we get to measure? No, we had to trust them. The contract meant nothing. The increased cost was $1282.80. Now, about our move. They lost items and couldn’t find them. They delivered items that weren’t ours and didn’t attempt to recover them for their owners. They refused to cover the loss because of that fiberboard clause. They offered a $50 courtesy payment for my loss of over $450 of items that didn’t arrive. Two different moving crews and trucks were involved in my move. I paid three different entities, and only one was Midland Van Lines. The others were all contractors. You will find many reviews of this company, and they will all include some version of our story. Hire a company that gives you a set price, reasonable guarantees for loss, and has equipment and crew hired by them. This usually means someone local. Beware, some companies are NOT local and have similar or the same name as local companies. We believe our move was unsatisfactory due to the upcharge and undelivered items.

Best for long distance move
Midland van lines has done a great job with my long distance move recently. I cannot ask any more from them because they moved me very smoothly and peacefully and within the given time. Their price was low and very reasonable. The moving team came on time and quickly wrapped and moved all of my belongings. They were very careful and serious and not a single damage was found in the end. I highly recommend this moving company because I found no flaws. I was moved without any stress and without any damages! Thank you so much!

Such an awesome crew
Anyone who lives in an apartment knows how important it is to maintain cleanliness. These things really matter when you live in an apartment. For my last move, I hired Midland van lines simply because of their reputation. The crew they sent was amazingly organized and very neat. They were very quick to pack everything and they made sure they disposed of their scrap packing materials. They would gather everything in front of the elevator and then use it once for many things at a time to avoid blocking the elevator for too long. This crew really impressed me.

Safe delivery
My granddaughter loves the piano and I wanted to give her my old piano for her birthday which was coming up soon. I contacted Midland van lines to move my piano. It was a bit old so it had to be well taken care of. I do not know what they did but when I went to see my granddaughter last week, I saw that it was in very good condition. I think they even cleaned it a little bit. There were no damages and there were no scratches! Unbelievable! Thank you so much! I will not forget this! Good job!
