The condition, delivery, and handling of your shipment are matters we take seriously, and we regret that your move did not meet expectations. We understand that the claims process has been difficult, and despite our continued efforts to help facilitate communication and encourage action from the carrier, our authority as a broker is limited. We have continued to do everything within our power to assist with your concerns and facilitate a resolution with the carrier whenever possible. While we understand your disappointment with the outcome, it is important to note that Safeshield does not have the authority to make claims determinations, compel carrier action, or control the carrier's handling of shipments. Nevertheless, we remain committed to assisting our customers and have attempted to provide relief by offering a full refund of your deposit. We remain willing to assist in communicating with the carrier regarding any outstanding claims and sincerely regret the difficulties you experienced during your move.

Rachel, we respectfully disagree with several statements made in your review and believe prospective customers deserve the full context. The estimate provided by SafeShield Moving for your shipment was $10,873.39 and was based on reserving an exclusive box truck for your move. The only additional charges assessed at pickup were $674.94 in disclosed accessorial services, consisting of a long carry fee and bulky article fee, both of which could not be accurately determined until the crew arrived onsite and evaluated the pickup conditions. When concerns arose during the original pickup, our team immediately intervened on your behalf, halted the move, escalated the matter to management, and arranged for a completely different carrier and crew at your request. Throughout our conversations, we worked extensively to address your concerns and ensure the move could proceed under terms you were comfortable accepting. Following the move, we conducted a detailed review of the shipment documentation, photographs, volume calculations, and transportation records. While we maintain that the transportation documents were reviewed and signed prior to service being performed, we nevertheless continued advocating on your behalf and negotiating with the carrier regarding your concerns. Importantly, your statement that there was a $6,000 increase in charges is simply false. The written estimates, pickup documents, and transportation records clearly demonstrate otherwise. We are fully prepared to provide the relevant documentation to any regulatory agency, consumer protection organization, or other appropriate party reviewing this matter. Despite maintaining that the charges were assessed in accordance with the executed transportation documents, we worked with the carrier to secure a refund of $1,125 related to your concerns regarding shipment volume and unused space. In addition, SafeShield offered a further $600 goodwill contribution in an effort to resolve the matter amicably, bringing the total proposed resolution to $1,725. We stand behind the actions taken by our team throughout this process. The record reflects that we intervened immediately when concerns were raised, successfully prevented significantly higher charges from being assessed during the initial pickup dispute, coordinated a replacement carrier at your request, and continued working toward a resolution long after the move was completed. We remain committed to transparency, professionalism, and customer service, and we are confident that the complete written record supports our position.
