I will never use this company again and will make sure that all my friends will never use this company again. It was the worst experience we ever had. Starting from the initial quote, the price was low, and when we decided to use this company, the price was raised significantly.
On the day of packing, one guy was packing everything by himself because the others were either smoking dope and high on drugs, sick on the truck, or using their phone. It took three days to pack our house. The other times we moved, they did in one day, and it was amazingly packed. The boxes were not labeled, items were all mixed up, not properly packed with paper or bubble wrap to avoid braking. I found broken dishes, a broken mirror, a couch stained and wet with water, and damaged my husband's hats. It was highly frustrating opening the boxes. Items were left in the drawers and moved inside, all over the dressers and drawers. We had to take the drawers to pick up the clothing or items inside. Items mixed, such as heavy iron pans with fragile champagne glasses, heavy blenders with glass plates, cutting knives loose in the box; hats, TV bases, games, scarves, picture boxes, toys, and books in one box. Can food mixed with glass dishes? Food items packed with dishes. It's hard to write and explain all the mess.
The delivery of the furniture: The driver was a brute. Impatient, rude, talked too much, could not listen, argumentative, stressed, and intimidated everyone. The man who came to unpack the truck said he was the worst person they ever worked with. He yelled and confronted my husband, getting close to my husband. I picked up the phone to call the cops. He threatened my husband and said he was going to leave and not finish the delivery. He made the Packer uncomfortable and made me scared for my husband. We have moved with our jobs many times and never had a similar situation. He then pursed to open boxes, looking for our glass tops for the end tables. He started ripping the boxes angrily, and I asked him to be careful because I did not want him to cut my mother's art pictures. I have not yet opened them, but if any are broken, he will have to pay for each one. They are of irreplaceable value.
All the companies we moved took the debris, empty boxes, and trash, such as tapes and boxes that were already empty. This driver told the packers, "No, I will not take unless they pay extra." The packers told him it was a courtesy to help the owners. He said, "NO!"
But he was considering taking a table that I did not want and was going to throw away. No boxes were labeled so that you could find out what room they would go in.
The packers wanted to put everything in the garage, which, of course, would not fit a whole house in the garage. Every item that we told them needed to go to the rooms upstairs. One of the packers complained, "Oh man, this box is heavy. Does it really need to go upstairs?" "Make sure where you want the furniture; we do not change the place."
Other companies said, "Don't worry; we can help you with the furniture, and we want you to be happy!" This is good customer service.
The packers said the driver told them, "When we get there, throw everything inside quick, do not open anything, no setup, and be done as quick as possible. That is their problem." They also said there were no instructions, just one phrase outside before they started unpacking. I am telling you, this was my worst experience. Every Packer complained about the driver.
The driver also called my husband and wanted $8,000.00 in cash for our final balance before he delivered the furniture. My husband told him we had already wired the money. On the phone, he concentrated on talking and ensuring he got his cash; he needs to learn manners in communication. My husband called the dispatcher, and she said the driver was crazy and did not know anything. The guy is plain crude!
Poor, poor customer service and leading with people. He may be able to drive a truck, but he can not communicate well, and dealing with people is not one of his skills.
One of these days, he will hurt someone, and you will be in a terrible lawsuit. He made the five packers uncomfortable, stressed my husband, and scared me. I should have called the police when he confronted my husband to teach him a lesson. No one puts up with that kind of behavior. He never helped the packers; he just complained and folded a few blankets. Again, all the drivers we had before helped and had a good working ethic with the Packers.
I will be sending you a picture of my couch to be fixed. I will not pay for the damage to the couch. The driver did not like that we told him the couch was wet and that he had nothing to put on the floor to protect my brand-new carpet. Again, all other movers put something on the floor. This one brought nothing, and the movers said they would fall. LOL, MY bottom of the stairs ends up stained; again, if the stain is not removed, I will send this to the company, too. They could have put the blankets but refused because it was "uncomfortable to them." Are they professionals? I have packers unloading my house in New York in the Snow, with blankets all over the house. No one fell or got hurt. THEY WERE PROFESSIONALS and POLITE!
