Great guys to work with. They weren't given an easy task of moving heavy things up and down stairs in my town home but they were very polite and great to work with. I would definitely consider them again.
Used for an emergency move after a fire in my apartment. Communication was excellent and the move came in under their estimate (I did not go with the lowest bidder)--they recommended 4 people to help with packing. They were careful and responsive. Will be using again when I can move back in!
Everything about the move went smoothly. The team was friendly, professional and extremely helpful throughout the entire process.
The movers themselves were good. Unfortunately the company is horrible. I guess that all of the 5 star ratings got what they paid for but we did not! All of our belongings were to be loaded on one truck and moved to our new home. This was not the case and had it been I would not be writing this reply. Broken items are sometimes part of the move but that is not my issue. Our issue is that all of our items were taken to a location where the truck was unloaded and everything was put onto a semi that had multiple moves on that truck.. When our items arrived and unpacked, we discovered that were missing boxes. All of our items were not delivered. We called the moving company and they transferred me to a claims department that only talked about the broken items. We were never able to discuss the issue. They just kept saying that they don’t see anything and would let us know if they find anything. This is not the professional business reply that I expected. When you pay 30k to have someone move you, would think that would work to find your personal items and make it a priority but no, they just kept saying that they don’t have it. At this point I would expect them to contact the other people that hade their possessions on the same truck and see if something was left behind. Also, every box is tagged with a QR code that is connected to a “Lot” number so if it was just sitting around, someone would scan the tag and get the items back to the owners that over paid for a move! So extremely DISGUSTED, DISSATISFIED & DISAPPOINTED in this company that I had to share my experience. I am not one to do so in this manner, usually I only give positive comments or no comment at all but this time it has has hit too hard and too deep. They have a lot of 5 stars, I don’t understand why they wouldn’t help in our case. We just wanted out personal items delivered like they should have been!
I highly recommend this moving company. They were prompt in responding to my request and very professional. Eddie even accommodated us and held our stuff in a secure storage facility overnight when an emergency arose. I am forever grateful for the way they treated us and the care that was used with our belongings. The guys were quick and careful and the price was right. Thanks again Eddie!

I would never recommend Illinois Movers, Inc. to anyone. On May 31, I spoke with the company about my move. They assured me they could handle it and told me my belongings would arrive at my new home in about two days. Based on that promise, I paid the required deposit. When they picked up my belongings, I had to make another payment as agreed, packed up, and drove to my new home expecting everything to arrive shortly afterward. A week went by, and I hadn’t heard a single word. I called, texted, and emailed repeatedly. Their voicemail was always full, so I couldn’t even leave a message. At that point, I honestly thought I had been scammed. After two weeks, I finally received an email saying they would deliver my belongings whenever they had enough shipments going near my destination. That was never mentioned when I hired them. I explained that I needed my belongings as soon as possible. Their response was that they would contact me when they were ready and specifically told me not to contact them again. Another two weeks passed before they emailed saying they might deliver on Monday or Tuesday and would call 24 hours beforehand. Instead, they called Tuesday afternoon and said they would be there in three hours. Since I couldn’t be there on such short notice, I had to ask a neighbor to meet them and let them put everything in my garage. To make matters worse, several of my belongings arrived heavily damaged. On top of that, the delivery driver was demanding a tip, even though my items were weeks late and damaged. Asking for a tip after providing such poor service was unbelievable. This entire experience was stressful from start to finish. They made promises they didn’t keep, were nearly impossible to communicate with, provided almost no updates, delivered weeks later than promised, damaged my belongings, and then expected a tip. Save yourself the frustration and use a different moving company. I truly wish I could give them less than one star.
Moving with kids is never easy, but this company’s movers were so patient and understanding. They even took extra time securing my kids’ bunk beds and made sure our fragile items were packed with extra care. I truly appreciated their kindness!
These guys are amazing! Punctual, organized, fast, very polite. They did everything to make us feel comfortable. First time we went through a moving without stress. The best one! We really recommend them.
I wish I could give zero stars. The movers showed up two hours late without a heads-up. When they finally arrived, they looked like they just rolled out of bed—one guy had food stains on his shirt. They dragged my furniture instead of lifting it, and my wooden floor now has deep scratches. They also took a “lunch break” in the middle of the job while the clock was still running. And don’t get me started on the attitude! One guy literally sighed every time I asked a question. Avoid at all costs!
