Moving company in Garfield, NJ
We had a very large and heavy safe in the basement. It weighed several hundred pounds. Other companies said they couldn't do it or quoted a crazy price. Howards Van Line sent three guys with a heavy-duty stair-climbing dolly. They loaded it and unloaded it without damaging my floors or the safe. It was impressive to watch.
I moved into a rental closer to family and booked these guys for the job. I appreciated how the movers stayed consistent from start to finish without changing plans midway. Boxes with books, décor, and work gear all arrived in good condition. Nothing went missing, which is always my main concern.
We were moving out of a small place with a mix of packed and unpacked stuff. Some things were still lying around from the night before, but they didn’t make it a problem. The team was able to wrap all the things properly without any issues. I didn't have to explain every small detail. They kept going without wasting time, and by the time we reached the new place, most of the work was already behind me. It all went more easily than expected.
Several boxes were handled carelessly, and a few belongings arrived damaged. The crew seemed rushed and paid little attention to fragile items. Very frustrating experience.
I was impressed by how smoothly everything went during my move. The crew arrived right on time and knew exactly what to do from the start. They handled parking, paperwork, and unloading without needing any help from me. Everything was done quietly and efficiently. It’s rare to see that kind of preparation and teamwork these days.
Highly recommend this moving crew. I had a bunch of musical instruments, including a keyboard and speakers. They wrapped everything tightly and secured it in the truck. No bumps or marks when it arrived. You can tell they know what they're doing.
The overall experience was disappointing. Customer service was not as responsive as expected, and several issues remained unresolved. I hope improvements are made in the future.
The move took much longer than promised, which caused unnecessary stress. I had difficulty getting updates, and the overall coordination could have been much better.
Communication was difficult from the beginning. Calls and messages were not returned promptly, and I had trouble getting updates about my move. Overall, not very reliable.
I highly recommend asking for Zachary if you book here. We had a tricky move with a narrow basement staircase. He measured everything first and had a plan. He guided his team perfectly, getting our freezer and washing machine up without a hitch. They were done in under 4 hours.
