Their movers double packed my items and delivered them on schedule both times. The final bills were also very fair. I definitely recommend them!
I had some breakable goods that I was worried about and the mirrors, picture frames and glass shelves were the ones that I was most concerned with. Before they began moving, the movers asked me which boxes required special attention. They wrapped the mirrors, made padding for the glass and put fragile objects in a secure area of the truck. I unpacked later and found no cracks or chips.
I watched artists in action as the movers arrived to take my antique furniture away. What they did to every piece of the equipment as they took it apart and put it back together had me in awe. Believe me, they are the best.
Coastal Moving Services provided an utterly disappointing and unprofessional experience. Quoted $2,200 for a move, including extra furniture, we paid a $1,400 deposit. The pickup truck arrived 3.5 hours late, marked “Golden Glove Movers,” and we were shocked with a $3,500 bill despite no significant additional items. Delivery, promised for Saturday, was repeatedly delayed with poor communication, finally arriving Thursday with only one mover, forcing me to help unload. We found a roach in our belongings and damaged boxes. Customer service was unresponsive; after weeks of chasing, they offered a measly $5.40 for our troubles. Miscommunications, broken promises, and unprofessional conduct made this a nightmare. I strongly advise against using this company and will continue sharing my experience until they make this right. Save yourself the stress—choose a reliable mover!
If you decide to use this company, I highly recommend you ask for a walk through quote and not one over the phone based on the items you go over/describe to Mike. Otherwise, you will most likely receive an updated quote at a higher rate the day of pick up. The company is not really attentive once the deposit is made and any missed/damage items will be a challenge getting replaced. My experience with this company was absolutely awful, and I would not recommend
Several awkward frames were too big to fit with the standard-size frames and needed special attention, and a few of the frames were built by hand to fit the padding and keep them safe.
The team did a wonderful job of moving all my grandmother's antiques without a scratch, even though it was the most difficult part for me. They have been applying loads of padding and had everything well fastened before moving. All the parts came in unharmed. They were very professional.
Working with Golden Glove Movers was a great experience for me. The genuine firm, indeed! All my precious belongings were boxed up with extreme care. I was relieved that not a single item had been broken in transit.
