This movers friendly. The movers made it the simplest and most enjoyable yet. The movers were extremely careful and considerate from the minute they arrived. I had faith that they would watch over my stuff.
Run don't walk away from this company. Yes ***** seems like he will take care of your stuff. Its been over a year of their pick up, then delivery of half of my items, then trying to settle with them. ****** and crew arrived 3 days late 3/21/24 for pickup in ** with a an already full truck. They placed tiny numbered stickers on my items then completely commingled them with someone else items to fit all into truck. Barely able to shut door. I was assured that my items were in warehouse as I waited for them to complete delivery in ** on 7/25/24. Which was well after the expected delivery timeframe. Surprise. A NY registered freighter delivered only half of my items which included boxes of original framed art work, moms Royal Daulton china, irreplaceable heirlooms, and furniture. Then I began the Claims process online. This is a sketchy company as they make it difficult to fill in lengthy details in forms online. Multiple attempts to complete them took hours then they would get deleted. Don't try to call them as they have a friendly automated answering system that puts you on hold for 10 minutes then abruptly drops your call. I called about 20 times, same each time. I emailed and requested forms to be mailed to me. These emails had automated responses. Finally ***** was able to have them mail the forms. These were filled out by me and returned through Certified mail then second time through Registered mail. Today I am informed that after their review, Direct Relocation is willing to pay me $75! The value and weight of items is easily $10,000. Not to mention I paid for delivery of twice as many items than they delivered. I wasn't even seeking damages for items I did receive. They wrapped items in shipping blankets to take to warehouse then removed those blankets. Some had their coded stickers on them so easy to see how that system falls apart. I give them a 1 rating for their friendly demeanor as they rob you blind.
In order to ensure that my valuable piano was transported securely, Direct Relocation Services service went above and beyond. When it was delivered and when it was received, the piano was in exactly the same condition. I much more like how they cushioned and covered it.
This has been the worst experience I have ever had. If you're capable of it, I would suggest getting a U-haul and doing it yourself. On Pick-up, they were 4 hours late on their time window. They gave me an estimated date of 8-16-2024. They showed up on the 21st. They had another window saying they would be here between 7am and 12pm. The movers didn't show up until 4pm. I ended up helping them move my stuff in due to having to be at work in the evening and speed up the process. Going through everything, I've noticed they did not give my my pc. I asked the driver if it was in one of the large boxes that were heavy and he told me yes. This is incorrect. None of these boxes contain my computer. It was packaged in it's own co tainer by the original movers. $3,000 PC lost. I would highly suggest finding another moving company, or just finding out how to do it yourself. Moving from California to Louisiana was already stressful enough. Sleeping on an air mattress, buying items I've already had previously to cook and eat with was annoying and aggravating. The original "Estimate" was hiked up another $1400 on top of all this. I'd rather have just bought all new things if I knew I was going to get a shady, incompetant company to trust with my stuff. To add insult to injury, I have emailed Claudia, the dispatcher, and have called with no follow-up whatsoever. Do not waste your time or money. This has been a disaster from the start.
The team made a concerted effort to go above what was asked. They put all my books onto my high shelves and helped me arrange my large library in a safe manner. I had concerns about my small figures, but they treated everything with great attention.
They didn't just dump our furniture in the middle of each room; they helped us put it exactly where we wanted it. They gave us some suggestions on how to arrange the furniture to make the space look its best. Our new place looked amazing thanks to their help!
Jeremiah and Jorde arrived promptly, using equipment to remove my sofa's legs and pack my belongings into sturdy crates. They helped pull heavy items downstairs and rebuilt my bed in my new apartment. Very helpful service!
I recently moved my home office and music setup from one apartment to another across town. My speakers, desktop equipment, and keyboard were my main concern. The movers took extra time to wrap the delicate electronics and stacked everything securely in the truck. Everything arrived safely and is still working, which honestly took a load off my shoulders. I'd definitely hire that team again.
Thanks to Direct Relocation Services LLC, my relocation was more manageable than I anticipated. The items were loaded and packaged with efficiency and caution. My items were securely stored for six weeks. The package was delivered promptly and with the usual meticulous attention to detail.
The guys were very careful with our fridge before loading it up on the truck, really appreciated it. They locked up the doors and ensured that it was set up correctly. Once they had moved them they assisted with putting them down and ensuring that they lay level.
