Normally, I hate packing dishes, but these movers made it a breeze. They had these special tissue paper sheets they wrapped around each plate, then nestled them in rows within the box. They even used those pool noodle things to create little bumpers between the plates for extra protection. Nothing arrived chipped or broken!
We were very happy with our moving experience from start to finish. It was a pleasure working with the crew, and I have full faith in their ability to keep my belongings safe. Jacob and Michael are the only necessary movers.
All of my interactions with Jorde team from the initial phone conversation to the final shipment, were smooth. The pricing was transparent and fair. No hidden costs. Even for that, I have faith in you.
Run don't walk away from this company. Yes ***** seems like he will take care of your stuff. Its been over a year of their pick up, then delivery of half of my items, then trying to settle with them. ****** and crew arrived 3 days late 3/21/24 for pickup in ** with a an already full truck. They placed tiny numbered stickers on my items then completely commingled them with someone else items to fit all into truck. Barely able to shut door. I was assured that my items were in warehouse as I waited for them to complete delivery in ** on 7/25/24. Which was well after the expected delivery timeframe. Surprise. A NY registered freighter delivered only half of my items which included boxes of original framed art work, moms Royal Daulton china, irreplaceable heirlooms, and furniture. Then I began the Claims process online. This is a sketchy company as they make it difficult to fill in lengthy details in forms online. Multiple attempts to complete them took hours then they would get deleted. Don't try to call them as they have a friendly automated answering system that puts you on hold for 10 minutes then abruptly drops your call. I called about 20 times, same each time. I emailed and requested forms to be mailed to me. These emails had automated responses. Finally ***** was able to have them mail the forms. These were filled out by me and returned through Certified mail then second time through Registered mail. Today I am informed that after their review, Direct Relocation is willing to pay me $75! The value and weight of items is easily $10,000. Not to mention I paid for delivery of twice as many items than they delivered. I wasn't even seeking damages for items I did receive. They wrapped items in shipping blankets to take to warehouse then removed those blankets. Some had their coded stickers on them so easy to see how that system falls apart. I give them a 1 rating for their friendly demeanor as they rob you blind.
Fantastic work, group! Everything we owned arrived at our new house without incident, and the tense move was managed with style and good humor. I was very impressed by the proficiency and know-how of the employees I've interacted with through Direct Relocation Services LLC. Thank God!
The worst experience of my life. This moving company was absolutely terrible from start to finish. They turned out to be a THIRD-PARTY service. The stress they caused us was beyond anything we could have imagined. Save yourself the stress, frustration, and emotional burden—do not hire this company. It was a nightmare we wouldn’t wish on anyone.
They paid attention to where we wanted our furniture in the new home and set everything up just the way we liked it.
The movers brought blankets, straps and wrapping materials with them. They were very efficient and took care to move our big furniture. The process was organized though there was a little delay in getting started.
I'm impressed by the moving crew's accuracy. Supervisor Jorde organized the relocation, and all the movers, including Joy and Michael, were aware of their roles. In under half an hour, they disassembled and reassembled my shelf unit.
