The team was on time and efficient all day. They were wrapped up well and there was not any damage during the move. We are pleased!
I needed to switch my home office to a bigger room, so all the belongings had to be moved downstairs. The movers lifted my desk parts and boxes of cables without rushing them through the narrow staircase. They stopped whenever I needed to check the layout and were patient while placing things in their spots.
There was a late night packing job which we hadn't completed. The crew guys assisted us in wrapping the last items without hesitation. We can’t begin to thank them!
Packing clothes was overwhelming because I had too many items. The movers brought wardrobe boxes and hung everything, so it stayed neat. They folded smaller pieces and packed them in clean cartons. They placed the boxes in the right rooms, so unpacking was easy. The process saved me hours of work, and I'm satisfied with how simple they made everything.
The movers showed up earlier than I expected and got right to work. They had a friendly attitude, and I appreciated how they checked in with me before moving each large item.
I forage and dry wild mushrooms. I have a lot of delicate dried specimens and spore prints. The crew helped me pack everything carefully. They understood that some of my mushrooms were rare and irreplaceable. They even asked about foraging. My collection arrived perfectly preserved.
Choice Van Lines misrepresented how much volume of my furniture I had. I clearly told the lady representative Jen on the phone I had 10,000 lbs and they still put 510 cf. (3570 lbs) on my contract. They have on their contract if you cancel for any reason including them not getting your volume of furniture right. They want your bank account information and not your debit card so you can’t dispute the charge. Wouldn’t recommend them. Matter of fact read the contract and enter their estimated volume in ChatGPT to see if it’s enough for what you have in your house. Don’t sign until everything is right on the contract. Because you won’t be able to dispute the charge from your bank account. I give them no stars because I lost $1000. Don’t book with them. I had 3 bed 2.5 bath home and they said my contract only allowed me to use 1/3 of their 26ft moving truck. They told me to leave some stuff behind. Never again. Lesson learned.
I have a large collection of wine and bar glassware. The team used thick paper and foam pouches for all the bottles. They packed the crystal glasses separately and marked the box clearly on all six sides. There was no breakage at all.
Honestly, I was expecting more of a process, lots of paperwork, upselling, that kind of thing. With these guys, it wasn't like that. We talked for five minutes, they gave me a number, and on moving day, they just showed up and got started.
I craft violins by hand. My workshop is filled with delicate wood, varnish, and half-finished instruments. The crew treated my workshop like a luthier's sanctuary. They wrapped everything in soft cloth. They kept the temperature stable. My instruments arrived without a single crack. That's craftsmanship on their part too.
