Excellent and prompt communication. All questions were answered, and the confirmation email was comprehensive. They packed and wrapped our furniture and other stuff carefully. The moving lads were very polite and communicated with us throughout. For the service we got, the rate was very competitive. Overall, we were happy with Arena vanlines and have recommended them to our family and friends.
I live in an apartment complex and my neighbors used them to move out! For the entire day they left all of my neighbors belongings in the hallway which blocked other tenants doors. I had to leave and had to push a moving cart away from my door. Then instead of letting me get the elevator and wait for the next one, they proceeded to squish multiple carts in the elevator giving me an attitude as if I was in there way! I had to leave MY APARTMENT. Second, and of course, they had their truck parked in front of 6-7 parking spaces. It's a small lot, I get it. So of course, I had to get them to move the truck so I could actually leave. When I returned an hour later not only did I have to get out of my car to ask them to move the truck AGAIN but also move all the furniture and moving supplies they threw in my spot. I feel obligated to leave this review because how rude and unprofessional they were!
They moved me from Michigan to South Carolina, the truck they sent didn't have enough room for the load they quoted, so they took what they could. On the return of the second truck, they wanted more money & held my furniture hostage for $2k more. which I had to pay. Buyer be ware!
The smoothest service that I have received in a really long time during relocating. From acquiring the price quote to the final delivery, the staff and movers made every step significantly easier. I didn’t even have to come in-person to inquire about the status of my things because they sent me frequent emails to keep me informed. Highly recommended!
Was subcontracted by Gulf Stream Van Lines. Late coming. Lied about items to be moved and over charged me for square footage. Move was over $2000 more than initially quoted. Told me my things would be delivered in 5 days and it was delivered one day shy of 3 weeks. Lost items and tried to give me items that didn’t belong to me. Sent one mover to unload my things so we had to help. The two initial movers were not friendly. This company is not trustworthy. They drained me financially.
First of all, they weren't the company I hired, they were hired by them since I was moving far. I had my moving date for September 25, they moved it 2 days, which cause me to have to leave my work 2 days before, however Julie was very nice, and since I didn't have a home yet they offered me 1 month of storage for "free" When the movers came, the extra charges (which I was told I "wouldn't get") started. $150 for mattress cover, which at the end i couldn't keep. 5 time I ask if what was in the estimate was the total I was gonna pay, 5 times they said YES. I was told i should give them a ONE week notice for them to arrange the coming of the truck, I did BUT they took 2 1/2 weeks to arrange it. I called every day and they just said "we don't have people", and one time I was told by Sara "we can't find people that want to go that far". They finally came and gave me a 4 hour window for the estimated time of arrival. When they finally did, they said I'd have to pay 3 time what the estimate said if I wanted my stuff unloaded, plus an extra $150 for making them wait an hour to gather the money. When unloading they took no care of boxes that said "FRAGILE" which scratch, broke and damaged some of my furniture. They lost more than 3 boxes, nightstand, lamps and wall paintings. When I called to tell them, they said to make an online complaint which can take up to NINE months to get a resolution. That is if they can find one, since I didn't insurance, but was told, since day one, I had. Now when ever I call them, they see my number and don't pick up the phone, they just send me straight to voicemail
I'm impressed with the floor-to-ceiling containers and worth of bubble wrap used to transport all my priceless possessions safely.

All my fragile items were stacked at the bottom of a huge pile of boxes. Of course, half of them broke. When I asked about their packing strategy, they just shrugged and walked away.
