Initially, I was disappointed because I had a rude sales experience of being hung up on. However, the company reached out to rectify the situation and informed me the salesperson I spoke to will be chided accordingly. I appreciate that the company went above and beyond to assist me.
AmeriSafe Moving Services exceeded our expectations from beginning to end! The movers arrived on time, were friendly and professional, and handled our belongings with great care throughout the long-distance move. Everything was packed, transported, and delivered safely, making the entire experience smooth and stress-free. Their communication was excellent, and the team kept everything organized every step of the way. We are very pleased with their service and would definitely recommend AmeriSafe Moving Services to anyone looking for a trustworthy and reliable moving company!
Amerisave was Great, even though I underestimated the amount of possessions I had they were able to modify the contract on the spot and made sure that all of the important stuff made it on to the truck. We will soon have our stuff delivered in Texas and looking forward to starting our new life. Thanks Amerisave!
Our experience with Amerisafe was a complete nightmare. When we first contacted them, they were incredibly helpful. Once they have your deposit, don’t expect to hear from them again. They failed multiple times to return calls and emails. They made promises they couldn’t keep, and the carrier did not care what Amerisafe had promised. Expect your costs to double, even when you try to give them the most accurate information. This company is what gives moving brokers and companies a bad name. There is nothing ‘safe’ about AmeriSAFE. Absolute worst experience ever!

I wish I could give zero stars. Avoid AmeriSafe at all costs if you’re looking for clear communication and a trustworthy moving experience. My partner and I moved from Washington to Oregon, and from the very beginning, there were major inconsistencies between AmeriSafe and the third-party movers they outsourced. On moving day, the movers were nearly six hours late. During that time, we had to repeatedly contact AmeriSafe for updates and they never once reached out to us proactively. Each time we called, we were told they’d contact the dispatcher and get back to us within an hour. That follow-up rarely happened, and when it did, the estimated arrival times kept shifting: first 1–2 hours, then 45 minutes, then 23 minutes, and finally 14 minutes. The movers eventually showed up—but only after constant pressure from us. When I asked for clarification during one of these calls, the AmeriSafe rep repeatedly interrupted me, insisted I was wrong, and defensively claimed they weren’t being negligent, despite the fact that I wasn’t accusing them of that. I was simply trying to get a straight answer about the movers’ arrival time because we had to keep rescheduling a cleaning crew. Once the movers arrived, it took them about four hours to load our one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment. We clearly communicated the required delivery date and time in Oregon due to a work obligation. That date came and went with zero communication from AmeriSafe. Despite calling them multiple times, they said they couldn’t provide any delivery information. In the end, we only knew our belongings were on the move because we had placed an AirTag in one of the boxes. When the movers arrived, they demanded an extra fee due to stairs at the new place, despite the fact that we had already paid that surcharge twice. When we asked to see the truck to confirm our items were inside, they aggressively refused until we paid the extra fee. Upon delivery, nothing was unwrapped, they attempted to drop off items that weren’t ours, and several of our belongings were missing. In summary: AmeriSafe was disorganized, unprofessional, unresponsive, and untrustworthy. If you want a smooth, stress-free move, choose any other company.
Nightmare from start to finish. Quoted price double once contract was signed (I was told square footage changed, but it did not). Storage charge tripled from price quoted. Associates assigned to us changed 2 time, just like the numbers quoted. Had to wait 3 extra weeks for delivery which meant more rental charges for us. 5 items missing at the time of delivery. Promised a claim form, 4 days ago, and still waiting. I would not recommend this company that uses a 3rd party for pick up & delivery. Left hand doesn't know what the right hand was doing.
I hired Amerisafe Moving Services to transport my deceased brother’s belongings from Atlanta, GA to Ohio. I was quoted $1,900 for the entire move, including his mechanical tools, personal items, and motorcycle. I attempted multiple times to list the motorcycle correctly, but the salesman refused and listed it as “motorcycle parts,” assuring me the quote was accurate. When the movers arrived, I was told the motorcycle was “not listed correctly” and I was forced to pay an additional $800. All items fit in a 26 ft box truck, so the fee was unjustified. At delivery, the company arrived in a semi-truck, which could not access my residential street. I was then told I needed to pay another $600 for a smaller truck. This was the first time I was ever told a semi would be used. When I questioned it, they said “it was in the contract,” despite never verbally disclosing this during the quote. This is a clear bait-and-switch tactic. Three items were also damaged, and the company only offered reimbursement based on weight, which is minimal and unfair. The move that was supposed to cost $1,900 ended up costing $3,200, through no fault of mine. Amerisafe misrepresented the inventory, failed to disclose material terms, added fees at unavoidable moments, and mishandled my brother’s belongings.
Was shopping around for movers like any other person would do when I called them and asked basic questions. He gave me a quote and I asked for it to be emailed to me for my reference. He kept persisting that it's late (3 weeks before move date) and asking how many other estimates I had from other movers and pushing me to book with him now. I refused to give him details and stated if he didn't want to send me an email quote and I'm not going to book now. He called me "testy" and I hung up on him. I dodged a bullet. Do not recommend!
They gave me an estimate to move from NJ to FL of around $2200, but it ended up being more than twice as much. First of all, they are brokers, which means they will charge you around $1000 broker’s fee (no actual value derived from this). Then, they give you a low ball estimate to ensure lading a job, and the actual moving company that shows up jacks up the price by more than 2X, when you have no more time to make changes and you pretty much depend on them because you have to go. When you bring up these issues, they will hang up on you. And in the rare case they do promise to look into the issues you pointed out, that does not derive into you getting any amount of money back. I imagine they just hope to land one job per customer in a lifetime, and don’t really care whether they come back or not. You’re better off finding an actual moving company and trying your luck there. Do NOT work with these people, save money and headaches. I gave one star cause I can’t give zero stars. You have been warned. .
