After researching and vetting several moving companies, I'm glad we chose American Way Moving. They delivered great service at a great value. Wee needed same-day pack and move for a 1-bedroom apartment. Beau and his team of packers arrived right on time at 8 AM and packed everything quickly and carefully. Salvador and his crew took over, moving everything efficiently and were very professional. Everything was complete around 2 PM without issue. Highly recommended!

They wrapped and loaded everything quickly, ensuring nothing was damaged. Communication was top-notch, and I always knew what to expect. I felt like my move was in great hands. We had an amazing experience with American Way Moving! They arrived on time, worked quickly, made sure all our furniture and personal items were handled with care and even disassembled and reassembled our furniture. They were friendly and professional and our final price came out quite close to the estimate we got initially. Definitely recommend them!!!
If only i can give negative star i would. From the start, I had concerns about Christy White, the lady who quoted me. She was overly pushy, insisted on staying on the phone even when I said I'd call back, and gave me a low quote of $2924 to secure the job. After paying, she became unreachable. On pickup day, a different company showed up a United Speed Movers, claiming to be affiliates of American Movers, and demanded more money or they'd refuse my items a total of $5943. Despite Christy promising delivery within 2-4 days it become one week, the customer service representative I spoke to later seemed dismissive and unhelpful, citing human limitations and unforeseen circumstances like mudslides (which weren't an issue when they arrived). Things escalated when, a day before delivery, someone they demanded an additional $800 for shuttle services due to truck size issues. They should arrive Thursday of July 17 but they arrived Friday, and despite knowing my schedule that I'm leaving that day so my scheduled got delayed because of them, they sent a U-Haul with two workers who didn't seem professional - one couldn't speak English, and they lacked necessary tools, making me dig out my own to assemble furniture. To top it off, one of the workers took my water camera while handling my belongings and go through my stuff. I message them and no response from them. You cant reach any of them anymore. Even the email of the receipt you cant open it anymore. The lack of communication and care after payment has been shocking. This has been my worst experience with movers, and I'm still dealing with the aftermath. So please please please don't take this company they are scammers.
From the initial contact with Brook to getting an estimate and scheduling, everything was handled professionally and efficiently. While the cost wasn't cheap, it was in line with other reputable movers. A week after my move, I noticed an issue, and they promptly sent someone out to fix it without hesitation. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in need of reliable movers
This is my second time working with American Way Moving. Because I had a great experience back in 2022, I decided to go with them again and I was not disappointed. The crew - Beau and Channing were punctual, friendly, and professional. The move was from one third floor to another third floor with no elevators. It was not an easy move by any means but they were efficient and finished fairly quick. None of my items were damaged and they did a great job of moving some of my larger pieces (oversized couch) through small doorways. Overall, it was another positive experience and I would highly recommend them.
AMAZING!! These guys crushed it. I had booked with a different company and they canceled on me last minute. With less than 24 hours notice, the best movers were able to support my move date and even the time slot of my desire! Was moving through a personally challenging experience which is what caused me to move and everyone at American Way Moving from the operations to the labor were phenomenal. They all had such positive vibrant energy, really up lifting my spirits and making the process quick and simple. I will only ever use them moving from now one while in Charlotte. 10/10 would recommend.
I’ve used American Way Moving for several moves across the years, and I don’t even bother looking for other quotes. They’re competitive in pricing, professional, and can handle even the trickiest of moves. I would specifically like to shout out to Beau who was the team lead on the moving project this week, who was very friendly, transparent in his communication, and kept a great level of energy throughout a long, 10 hour moving day involving pickups and drop offs from 4 different homes.
I contracted American Way Movers for an interstate move from Pittsburgh to Nashville, and it was one of the worst consumer experiences I’ve ever had. Misrepresentation: They presented themselves as a moving company, but they are actually a broker. This was never made clear until the day of the move. False Promises: I was verbally assured multiple times — even days before the move — that my belongings would be delivered directly within 1–2 days. When the carrier arrived, they told me, “Oh, they lied to you,” and my delivery ended up taking five weeks. Bait-and-Switch Pricing: Despite reviewing my inventory multiple times and assuring me it would fit in the truck space I paid for, the carrier claimed I had 2–3x too much stuff and demanded hundreds more dollars to load it. No Accountability: Once my items were picked up, American Way Movers told me they had no obligation to me and that any issues with the carrier were not their responsibility — even though they hired the carrier. Customer Service Nightmare: There’s one phone number. You’ll wait on hold for 30+ minutes, only to be hung up on. No one returns calls. No one helps. No Claims Support: Now that I’m trying to file a claim, there is no contact info or support available. This company fits the profile of every moving scam listed on the FTC’s website. I strongly urge others to avoid this broker and seek out reputable, direct moving companies instead.
