BEWARE BEWARE!!!
The absolute WORST moving experience EVER!!! The team this company sent out were kids with no experience whatsoever. Two barely 18 year old boys and one 20 year old. The 20 year old was combative at every step of the move. I specifically hired this company because they had said they knew how to wrap and pack grandfather clocks. When the boys arrived, none of them had ever packed one. My mother, a friend and I did it ourselves as best we could. They just threw furniture in without wrapping or even covering with blankets. I was told from the owner who came out to do a walkthrough that it would take 2 and 1/2 hours tops to fill the truck up. Those boys were so slow it took 5 hours! It cost me triple the price I was quoted and on top of that they came unprepared- no tape! What packing company shows up in a huge ( not to mention ugly) truck with no tape, no paper, no boxes just in case!!???!!! I called a manager to get a team out who knew what they were doing but he came and said they were doing “just fine” and left!!!! BEWARE BEWARE!!!

They are Scammers!! Be Aware
If only i can give negative star i would. From the start, I had concerns about Christy White, the lady who quoted me. She was overly pushy, insisted on staying on the phone even when I said I'd call back, and gave me a low quote of $2924 to secure the job. After paying, she became unreachable. On pickup day, a different company showed up a United Speed Movers, claiming to be affiliates of American Movers, and demanded more money or they'd refuse my items a total of $5943. Despite Christy promising delivery within 2-4 days it become one week, the customer service representative I spoke to later seemed dismissive and unhelpful, citing human limitations and unforeseen circumstances like mudslides (which weren't an issue when they arrived). Things escalated when, a day before delivery, someone they demanded an additional $800 for shuttle services due to truck size issues. They should arrive Thursday of July 17 but they arrived Friday, and despite knowing my schedule that I'm leaving that day so my scheduled got delayed because of them, they sent a U-Haul with two workers who didn't seem professional - one couldn't speak English, and they lacked necessary tools, making me dig out my own to assemble furniture. To top it off, one of the workers took my water camera while handling my belongings and go through my stuff. I message them and no response from them. You cant reach any of them anymore. Even the email of the receipt you cant open it anymore. The lack of communication and care after payment has been shocking. This has been my worst experience with movers, and I'm still dealing with the aftermath. So please please please don't take this company they are scammers.

Misleading, Unresponsive, and Deceptive — Avoid at All Costs
I contracted American Way Movers for an interstate move from Pittsburgh to Nashville, and it was one of the worst consumer experiences I’ve ever had. Misrepresentation: They presented themselves as a moving company, but they are actually a broker. This was never made clear until the day of the move. False Promises: I was verbally assured multiple times — even days before the move — that my belongings would be delivered directly within 1–2 days. When the carrier arrived, they told me, “Oh, they lied to you,” and my delivery ended up taking five weeks. Bait-and-Switch Pricing: Despite reviewing my inventory multiple times and assuring me it would fit in the truck space I paid for, the carrier claimed I had 2–3x too much stuff and demanded hundreds more dollars to load it. No Accountability: Once my items were picked up, American Way Movers told me they had no obligation to me and that any issues with the carrier were not their responsibility — even though they hired the carrier. Customer Service Nightmare: There’s one phone number. You’ll wait on hold for 30+ minutes, only to be hung up on. No one returns calls. No one helps. No Claims Support: Now that I’m trying to file a claim, there is no contact info or support available. This company fits the profile of every moving scam listed on the FTC’s website. I strongly urge others to avoid this broker and seek out reputable, direct moving companies instead.

I would absolutely use them again!
American Way Moving exceeded my expectations during my long-distance relocation! The crew was friendly, efficient, and incredibly organized. They wrapped and loaded everything quickly, ensuring nothing was damaged. Communication was top-notch, and I always knew what to expect. I felt like my move was in great hands. I would absolutely use them again!

Would never recommend.
They had 2 people show up. But one stayed in the truck the majority of the time. All heavy furniture including mattresses, couches, and dressers were carried by one person and were dragged across the ground and severely damaged. I purchased the simplest “insurance” plan as an extra coverage just in case. When I wrote out in the end what was damaged, they said there was a maximum $75 per piece they would reimburse me because I had not chosen a higher policy. IMO when I purchased the policy, I purchased it as a safety net against “accidental” damage, not a catch-all for poor quality service through an entire job. No one that works there is strong. Especially one person who has to carry huge pieces of furniture. Very disappointing. I also do not think they had enough equipment to do the job. My mattress was literally out of the bag and dragged across the ground. Sectional couch with tear. Would never recommend.

I would recommend not using this company.
I hired them for the minimum required 2 hours and they charged me for the two hours. I said I mainly just needed help with big stuff, but if we finished early I could use their help moving small stuff. So they just moved the big stuff which took a little over an hour and then they left with out completing the two hours of service I paid for. Additionally, even more problematic, they tore both edges of my leather couch. Which I didn’t notice immediately in the chaos of moving. I would recommend not using this company.

team were absolutely fantastic. Quick, efficient, and were incredibly skilled at fitting everything in my trailer. I cannot recommend this company enough. If you want your move to go as smoothly as possible, you will go with American Way Moving

I would definitely recommend them to anyone in need of reliable movers
From the initial contact with Brook to getting an estimate and scheduling, everything was handled professionally and efficiently. While the cost wasn't cheap, it was in line with other reputable movers. A week after my move, I noticed an issue, and they promptly sent someone out to fix it without hesitation. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in need of reliable movers

The most unprofessional moving company.
The most unprofessional moving company, I have ever seen. They spent ridiculous amount of time wrapping my “ikea” furniture with stretch film although I asked them not to do it number of times. They did everything to spend extra 2 - 3 hours. When we came for drop off, they stayed 10 mins more to charge me for extra half an hour. On top of these, my 2 accessories were broken. Shortly don’t hire with them if you don’t want to waste your money.

They were quick, careful, professional, and polite. One of the crew members on my team was new, and the foreman was a patient and kind mentor in showing the new guy the ropes. That kind of care was apparent at every step, from how the crew worked with each other to how they treated me and my things. American Way Moving made a stressful process much easier. Thanks, guys!
