They are Scammers!! Be Aware
If only i can give negative star i would. From the start, I had concerns about Christy White, the lady who quoted me. She was overly pushy, insisted on staying on the phone even when I said I'd call back, and gave me a low quote of $2924 to secure the job. After paying, she became unreachable. On pickup day, a different company showed up a United Speed Movers, claiming to be affiliates of American Movers, and demanded more money or they'd refuse my items a total of $5943. Despite Christy promising delivery within 2-4 days it become one week, the customer service representative I spoke to later seemed dismissive and unhelpful, citing human limitations and unforeseen circumstances like mudslides (which weren't an issue when they arrived). Things escalated when, a day before delivery, someone they demanded an additional $800 for shuttle services due to truck size issues. They should arrive Thursday of July 17 but they arrived Friday, and despite knowing my schedule that I'm leaving that day so my scheduled got delayed because of them, they sent a U-Haul with two workers who didn't seem professional - one couldn't speak English, and they lacked necessary tools, making me dig out my own to assemble furniture. To top it off, one of the workers took my water camera while handling my belongings and go through my stuff. I message them and no response from them. You cant reach any of them anymore. Even the email of the receipt you cant open it anymore. The lack of communication and care after payment has been shocking. This has been my worst experience with movers, and I'm still dealing with the aftermath. So please please please don't take this company they are scammers.

I would absolutely use them again!
American Way Moving exceeded my expectations during my long-distance relocation! The crew was friendly, efficient, and incredibly organized. They wrapped and loaded everything quickly, ensuring nothing was damaged. Communication was top-notch, and I always knew what to expect. I felt like my move was in great hands. I would absolutely use them again!

We had an amazing experience with American Way Moving! They arrived on time, worked quickly, made sure all our furniture and personal items were handled with care and even disassembled and reassembled our furniture. They were friendly and professional and our final price came out quite close to the estimate we got initially. Definitely recommend them!!!

I'd highly recommend them!!
They came to view my property, within an hour of my inquiry, in order to get a firm and final quote. They worked with me to include bespoke requests, such as picking up additional items from my storage unit on our way to the new home. Their quote was the best and most transparent of any moving company. The fee was flat and remained so, even if it was a full day's work. They were super careful with all our things, I couldn't have wished for a better experience. I'd highly recommend them!!

From the initial contact with Brook to getting an estimate and scheduling, everything was handled professionally and efficiently. While the cost wasn't cheap, it was in line with other reputable movers. A week after my move, I noticed an issue, and they promptly sent someone out to fix it without hesitation. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in need of reliable movers

American Way Moving was recommended by our realtor and they exceeded expectations in every way! The team of 3 worked very hard and very fast yet with precision and care. They got all of our big items moved in one trip. Very efficient, good attitudes and diligent. Couldn’t have asked for a better crew. Misleading, Unresponsive, and Deceptive — Avoid at All Costs
I contracted American Way Movers for an interstate move from Pittsburgh to Nashville, and it was one of the worst consumer experiences I’ve ever had. Misrepresentation: They presented themselves as a moving company, but they are actually a broker. This was never made clear until the day of the move. False Promises: I was verbally assured multiple times — even days before the move — that my belongings would be delivered directly within 1–2 days. When the carrier arrived, they told me, “Oh, they lied to you,” and my delivery ended up taking five weeks. Bait-and-Switch Pricing: Despite reviewing my inventory multiple times and assuring me it would fit in the truck space I paid for, the carrier claimed I had 2–3x too much stuff and demanded hundreds more dollars to load it. No Accountability: Once my items were picked up, American Way Movers told me they had no obligation to me and that any issues with the carrier were not their responsibility — even though they hired the carrier. Customer Service Nightmare: There’s one phone number. You’ll wait on hold for 30+ minutes, only to be hung up on. No one returns calls. No one helps. No Claims Support: Now that I’m trying to file a claim, there is no contact info or support available. This company fits the profile of every moving scam listed on the FTC’s website. I strongly urge others to avoid this broker and seek out reputable, direct moving companies instead.

They were quick, careful, professional, and polite. One of the crew members on my team was new, and the foreman was a patient and kind mentor in showing the new guy the ropes. That kind of care was apparent at every step, from how the crew worked with each other to how they treated me and my things. American Way Moving made a stressful process much easier. Thanks, guys!

Horrible
So as a single mother hiring this company made for a nightmare. First of all American way moving is not gonna be the company getting your stuff. They are brokerage as soon as they get your deposit they vanish and you're let to deal with a middleman that is the most unprofessional grimy type of people who try to take money from you they got to my location and said because they can't pull in the driveway. It would be $400 more. I asked why you can't go in the driveway. They said they have an oil leak my 18-year-old son said that well that's not our problem and they had nothing to say. Beau was the most charismatic, friendly salesperson with American way, but as soon as I had issues, he went missing super shady. This experience was stressful and I have more details, but I plan to go on more websites and possibly file some legal action.
