10 stars plus are warranted
I cannot stress enough how absolutely wonderful these guys were. 10 stars plus are warranted. They came in, they packed up my kitchen, they broke down things that needed to be broken down, AND they put them back together again when we got to the new place!! They were polite, courteous, professional, and just good boys!!! They were efficient and quick. Final total came in less than original quote. I cant say enough good things about this company. Kudos guys, and thank you so much!!!

they were absolute pros, fantastic communication throughout the move, upbeat the whole time. American Way Moving has a knack for picking crew members who work hard but know how to have fun. They took great care with moving my furniture and worked efficiently. Could not ask for a smoother moving experience. Love this moving company.

I would definitely recommend them to anyone in need of reliable movers
From the initial contact with Brook to getting an estimate and scheduling, everything was handled professionally and efficiently. While the cost wasn't cheap, it was in line with other reputable movers. A week after my move, I noticed an issue, and they promptly sent someone out to fix it without hesitation. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in need of reliable movers

They are Scammers!! Be Aware
If only i can give negative star i would. From the start, I had concerns about Christy White, the lady who quoted me. She was overly pushy, insisted on staying on the phone even when I said I'd call back, and gave me a low quote of $2924 to secure the job. After paying, she became unreachable. On pickup day, a different company showed up a United Speed Movers, claiming to be affiliates of American Movers, and demanded more money or they'd refuse my items a total of $5943. Despite Christy promising delivery within 2-4 days it become one week, the customer service representative I spoke to later seemed dismissive and unhelpful, citing human limitations and unforeseen circumstances like mudslides (which weren't an issue when they arrived). Things escalated when, a day before delivery, someone they demanded an additional $800 for shuttle services due to truck size issues. They should arrive Thursday of July 17 but they arrived Friday, and despite knowing my schedule that I'm leaving that day so my scheduled got delayed because of them, they sent a U-Haul with two workers who didn't seem professional - one couldn't speak English, and they lacked necessary tools, making me dig out my own to assemble furniture. To top it off, one of the workers took my water camera while handling my belongings and go through my stuff. I message them and no response from them. You cant reach any of them anymore. Even the email of the receipt you cant open it anymore. The lack of communication and care after payment has been shocking. This has been my worst experience with movers, and I'm still dealing with the aftermath. So please please please don't take this company they are scammers.

Misleading, Unresponsive, and Deceptive — Avoid at All Costs
I contracted American Way Movers for an interstate move from Pittsburgh to Nashville, and it was one of the worst consumer experiences I’ve ever had. Misrepresentation: They presented themselves as a moving company, but they are actually a broker. This was never made clear until the day of the move. False Promises: I was verbally assured multiple times — even days before the move — that my belongings would be delivered directly within 1–2 days. When the carrier arrived, they told me, “Oh, they lied to you,” and my delivery ended up taking five weeks. Bait-and-Switch Pricing: Despite reviewing my inventory multiple times and assuring me it would fit in the truck space I paid for, the carrier claimed I had 2–3x too much stuff and demanded hundreds more dollars to load it. No Accountability: Once my items were picked up, American Way Movers told me they had no obligation to me and that any issues with the carrier were not their responsibility — even though they hired the carrier. Customer Service Nightmare: There’s one phone number. You’ll wait on hold for 30+ minutes, only to be hung up on. No one returns calls. No one helps. No Claims Support: Now that I’m trying to file a claim, there is no contact info or support available. This company fits the profile of every moving scam listed on the FTC’s website. I strongly urge others to avoid this broker and seek out reputable, direct moving companies instead.

Don’t use any other mover but them, you will have a great experience.
I was frantic, contractually I had to be out of the house by noon the next day. I called Beau, explained my situation and asked if they could help me. They said yes, they would work me into their schedule. He sent a 26 foot truck with a driver that navigated my driveway on a rural road like a pro! No problems. My movers were great! They worked tirelessly to pack up my house professionally and delivered to my new place, nothing broken. At the end of a very long day, I called American Way Moving and thanked them for leaving me stranded because it opened the door to a wonderful experience with Beau. Don’t use any other mover but them, you will have a great experience.

WOW WOW WOW what an incredible experience moving with this company. They arrived 15 minutes early, worked efficiently and insanely fast, and were so polite. John was really an angel - he did everything I asked with zero attitude or complaints. They really exceeded my expectations. I will be recommending them to my friends/family for sure. The owner was also great whenever I spoke with him on the phone. Excellent service THANK YOU!

American Way Moving exceeded my expectations during my long-distance relocation! The crew was friendly, efficient, and incredibly organized. They wrapped and loaded everything quickly, ensuring nothing was damaged. Communication was top-notch, and I always knew what to expect. I felt like my move was in great hands. I would absolutely use them again!

AMAZING!! These guys crushed it. I had booked with a different company and they canceled on me last minute. With less than 24 hours notice, the best movers were able to support my move date and even the time slot of my desire! Was moving through a personally challenging experience which is what caused me to move and everyone at American Way Moving from the operations to the labor were phenomenal. They all had such positive vibrant energy, really up lifting my spirits and making the process quick and simple. I will only ever use them moving from now one while in Charlotte. 10/10 would recommend.
