I recently moved from Los Angeles, California to Richmond, Virginia for a new job, and America First Moving made the whole process effortless. The crew was efficient, polite, and careful with every item. They called before arrival, kept me informed, and even helped unpack a few boxes once they arrived. Everything arrived in perfect shape.
America First Moving helped me move from Jacksonville, FL to Gainesville, FL. It was only a 2-bedroom move, but they packed everything quickly and treated my belongings with care. The crew was friendly, efficient, and had me settled in my new place within hours.
I relocated from a 3-bedroom home in Ocala to a bigger house in Belleview. America First Moving was on time, packed everything properly, and made the entire process smooth. No issues, no delays, and very friendly movers. Easily the most stress-free move I’ve had.
I had a fantastic experience moving from Sarasota, FL to Columbus, OH with America First Moving. My 3-bedroom townhouse was packed up in record time, yet everything was handled gently. They took extra care with my flat-screen TV and glass coffee table, and both arrived in perfect shape. Delivery was right when they said it would be.
America First is a moving broker. They contract with local moving companies to do the actual move. The initial phone quote was $8500 (paperwork sent confirming price). Since this was my fourth quote it lined up with the other three quotes I rec'd. But, when the inventory list was done, the price went to $13,000. They did lower it to $11,587 (which was still extremely high). I had no time to change my moving company. The main person I communicated with was the driver. His command of the English language was poor. The packers could not speak or understand English. The following items were damaged or destroyed: 1) Molding on the hutch was damaged, 2) broken pictures / glass frames, 3) clothes were not hung in wardrobes, they were folded and stacked until there was no more room. Could not reach the bottom of the box and the box was too heavy for me to tip over so I could empty it. 4) wrapped candles in two sets of sheets and the red dye permanently stained and ruined the sheets, 5) salad crisper destroyed, 6) broke glass globe stand, 6) broke standing light stand, 7) sleep # mattress was not wrapped correctly so it does not operate correctly. Will cost me $290 just to have a representative to evaluate the damage. Finally, when I sent my letter, with pictures of all the damaged/broken items, they said they could compensate me $100. At that point, I knew there was no need to speak to them any further. DO NOT USE THSE PEOPLE. They are scammers!
