After years in Phoenix, AZ, my wife and I decided to move to Austin, TX to be closer to our grandkids. America First Moving treated our furniture and keepsakes like they were their own. Everything arrived perfectly, even my old record collection.
I relocated from a 4-bedroom house in Kissimmee to Little Rock, AR and couldn’t be more pleased. America First Moving stayed on schedule, handled bulky items like my pool table with care, and made the long-distance transition surprisingly easy.
My experience with the American First Moving website was overall straightforward but not without minor frustrations. The site is cleanly designed, making it easy to locate essential information about services, pricing, and booking. Navigation felt intuitive, and pages loaded quickly, which made the process efficient. However, some sections lacked detailed explanations, leaving me with questions about specific policies and fees. The quote request feature worked well, but I would have appreciated more transparency upfront. Customer support options were visible, though not immediately responsive. Overall, the website is functional and user-friendly, but could benefit from clearer information and improved communication features. I moved from a 2-bedroom condo in Lake Mary to a townhouse in Sanford, and America First Moving really exceeded my expectations. The movers were on time, packed everything securely, and handled my fragile decor and electronics with extra care. They were professional, quick, and super friendly throughout the entire process. Everything arrived without a scratch, and they even helped arrange the heavier furniture exactly where I wanted it. I’ll definitely be recommending them to anyone who needs reliable movers!
I relocated from Syracuse, NY to Tampa, FL and America First Moving handled the entire relocation with great organization. The crew showed up on time, carefully wrapped all of my furniture, and made sure everything was properly secured inside the truck before leaving. Delivery arrived within the estimated window and nothing was damaged during transport.
If i could give zero starts, I would. This company is an absolute scam. Even though we showed him all the items in the video call for couple of hrs. They intentionally gave us a low ball estimate by reducing the cubic ft. On the day of pickup, they would argue about the cubic ft and the person who originally estimated wont pickup your call. When they estimate, they would do sweet talk to get the order. We had to pay additional 30% of the money since we dont have choice at the time of pickup. Whats worse is, they blatantly lied about not out sourcing - my move was handled by multiple different companies, none of which were professional or reliable. All of our Bi-cycles broke, some of the boxes were damaged. Initially they told they will deliver in 2-3 days when they want to get the order but they delivered only after 2 weeks. The guys who delivered made all of our carpet dirty in our apartment. We asked to clean it up but they didnt saying they dont have cleaning stuff and they have to urgently deliver something else. Avoid this company at all costs unless you want stress, hidden fees, broken promises and zero accountability. Total nightmare.
I had to move from Miami, FL to Seattle, WA for work, and America First Moving handled the entire process. It was a huge 5-bedroom home with heavy gym equipment, lots of glass decor, and kids’ furniture. They loaded everything with no issues, and when it got to Seattle, I couldn’t believe how well they protected even the fragile stuff. Moving across the country is tough, but they made it feel easy.
America First Moving Services has nonexistent professionalism or reliability. Beware of unexpected price increases after they load your belongings onto the truck. Additionally, they and their subsidiaries (AMB Moving and Storage Inc. and Sorto Express Transportation Inc.) will hold your belongings hostage, with little to no support from anyone in resolving these issues. Only "give us what we want, how we want it." The company outsources its moves to third-party contractors, who in turn hire day laborers from in front of Home Depot, making it difficult to track shipments or hold anyone accountable. I’ve been waiting months for my belongings; I’m being pressured into paying additional fees before they’ll deliver my belongings. This is a scam company; they will lie and agree to any request to get your business, then bait and switch and provide nothing promised in the contract or via phone. I never authorized them to place my belongings in storage; they’re holding my items hostage and charging me storage fees for it. They took what they wanted out of my storage and left the rest, saying the whole truck wasn’t allocated to me. I’m still paying for a $500-a-month storage unit and have to hire another moving company and fly back to Las Vegas. They tried to overcharge me at pickup after my belongings had been loaded onto the truck. They forged a document; this is identity theft. Forget about those professional movers they raved about; they hire day laborers from in front of Home Depot. There are no professional movers. Only God knows who they have handling your belongings and in your home. Most of all, America First Moving has a pattern of deceptive pricing, poor communication, and lack of accountability, leading to a highly frustrating experience. If you bring up their dishonesty, they’ll deflect and only talk about extorting money from you. They or their subsidiaries won’t give me the correct billing. America First Moving Services didn’t provide any of what I contracted them to do. I had to involve the bank, and they returned the deposit that is allocated for them, only to add it back to the balance. A refund is just that, a refund. If they thought they deserved the money, they would have fought it at the bank, like every other legitimate business, not refunded and added it back to the bill. This is the worst company I’ve ever had to deal with. If you're considering them as a moving company, it may be best to explore other options with better reputations. Warning: Avoid them at all costs!!! Save yourself time, money, and your sanity.
I recently moved from Miami, Florida to Charlotte, North Carolina for a new job, and America First Moving made it easier than I expected. The movers were polite, fast, and careful with my furniture. Everything arrived on time and in perfect condition.
