I moved from Cincinnati, OH to Jacksonville, FL and the crew made the process feel easy. They packed everything carefully, loaded the truck in an organized way, and delivered right within the promised window.
We relocated from Tampa, FL to Phoenix, AZ for my wife’s job transfer. America First Moving packed up our 5-bedroom house with so much care. I was nervous about my workshop tools and her office equipment, but nothing was damaged. The crew kept in touch during the long trip, which gave us peace of mind.
After accepting a new position, I relocated from Santa Fe, New Mexico to Grand Rapids, Michigan. America First Moving handled the logistics professionally and kept me informed throughout the move. The packing team was efficient, and the delivery crew placed everything exactly where I needed it in the new apartment.
If i could give zero starts, I would. This company is an absolute scam. Even though we showed him all the items in the video call for couple of hrs. They intentionally gave us a low ball estimate by reducing the cubic ft. On the day of pickup, they would argue about the cubic ft and the person who originally estimated wont pickup your call. When they estimate, they would do sweet talk to get the order. We had to pay additional 30% of the money since we dont have choice at the time of pickup. Whats worse is, they blatantly lied about not out sourcing - my move was handled by multiple different companies, none of which were professional or reliable. All of our Bi-cycles broke, some of the boxes were damaged. Initially they told they will deliver in 2-3 days when they want to get the order but they delivered only after 2 weeks. The guys who delivered made all of our carpet dirty in our apartment. We asked to clean it up but they didnt saying they dont have cleaning stuff and they have to urgently deliver something else. Avoid this company at all costs unless you want stress, hidden fees, broken promises and zero accountability. Total nightmare.
I recently moved from Tampa, Florida to Charlotte, North Carolina, and America First Moving made the entire process a breeze. They coordinated everything ahead of time, showed up with a full crew, and handled my 3-bedroom home like true pros. Nothing was damaged and they delivered right on schedule. I’d absolutely recommend them for any long-distance move.
I was transferred on short notice from Milwaukee, WI to Kansas City, MO, and America First Moving took the reins immediately. They brought all packing materials, labeled everything clearly, and kept my electronics and monitors in specialized crates. Delivery was on time, and I was able to start my new role without any moving stress hanging over me.
America First is a moving broker. They contract with local moving companies to do the actual move. The initial phone quote was $8500 (paperwork sent confirming price). Since this was my fourth quote it lined up with the other three quotes I rec'd. But, when the inventory list was done, the price went to $13,000. They did lower it to $11,587 (which was still extremely high). I had no time to change my moving company. The main person I communicated with was the driver. His command of the English language was poor. The packers could not speak or understand English. The following items were damaged or destroyed: 1) Molding on the hutch was damaged, 2) broken pictures / glass frames, 3) clothes were not hung in wardrobes, they were folded and stacked until there was no more room. Could not reach the bottom of the box and the box was too heavy for me to tip over so I could empty it. 4) wrapped candles in two sets of sheets and the red dye permanently stained and ruined the sheets, 5) salad crisper destroyed, 6) broke glass globe stand, 6) broke standing light stand, 7) sleep # mattress was not wrapped correctly so it does not operate correctly. Will cost me $290 just to have a representative to evaluate the damage. Finally, when I sent my letter, with pictures of all the damaged/broken items, they said they could compensate me $100. At that point, I knew there was no need to speak to them any further. DO NOT USE THSE PEOPLE. They are scammers!
We moved from Miami to Orlando for my husband’s new job. Even though it was an in-state move, America First Moving treated it with full professionalism. They packed efficiently, labeled every box, and even helped set up our beds.
Moving from San Francisco, California to Miami, Florida was a big deal for me. I’ve heard horror stories about moving companies, but America First Moving made it simple. The driver stayed in touch during transit, and the delivery team was careful and polite. Nothing was missing or damaged, and they even placed the boxes in the right rooms.
