I accepted a management role and moved from Columbia, South Carolina to Eugene, Oregon in late December. America First Moving made sure my office equipment and personal items arrived safely during the busy season.
This company sold us on a so-called “White Glove Service,” which is exactly why we agreed to pay their much higher price — over $3,600 more than the competition. The service was specifically described to us as including: “Packing, transportation, storage, delivery, UNPACKING, and putting all items where they belong, with the exception of kitchen boxes. You won’t have to do a thing — just sit back and watch.” Delivery day came, and not a single box was unpacked. The salesman promised one thing verbally, then changed the wording in the contract so the company could hide behind technical language and keep our money. First, they claimed unpacking “wasn’t in the contract.” When I asked them to review the recorded sales call, they changed their story again and said “White Glove Service” is just an expression — not an actual service they provide. That is plain and simple fraud. To make matters worse, they offered us a $200 “good faith gesture” only if we signed a document stating that: • We received all services promised verbally and in writing • We would not dispute the charges • We would not pursue any additional complaints It felt less like customer service and more like dealing with a moving mafia. If this review helps even one or two people avoid this company and their deceptive practices, then they can keep the $200.
America First Moving handled my relocation from Jacksonville, FL to Chicago, IL perfectly. It was a 3-bedroom condo, and I was worried about my large glass table and mirrors, but everything arrived in pristine condition. The team was courteous, efficient, and made the whole experience much less stressful than I imagined.
Complete scam. They sent a third party to move my stuff, who demanded an extra $2500 to do the job, which I had to pay. I felt like I was being blackmailed. I had to agree to the extra payment because I needed to move my stuff ASAP, and they took advantage of it. Never had such a bad experience with a mover.

I decided to hire this company and to me was the best choice. They are very friendly movers and made sure my furniture arrived in perfect condition. I feel I paid the right price for the right service.

The team showed up on time, handled all my furniture, appliances, and fragile items with so much care, and worked quickly without cutting corners. They kept everything organized and even helped reassemble my beds and dining table. Everything arrived safely, and they made what I thought would be a stressful day very smooth and pleasant. Highly recommend their services!
After our youngest moved out, we decided to downsize from Fort Myers, FL to a smaller home in Savannah, GA. The movers were so respectful with our antiques and even helped us rearrange furniture upon delivery. Wonderful experience!
