Our family needed to relocate from Tampa, Florida to Charlotte, North Carolina after accepting a new job opportunity. With three bedrooms and years of accumulated belongings, we were overwhelmed. America First Moving showed up prepared, patient, and respectful of our space. They handled furniture, kids’ items, and fragile pieces with equal care. I relocated my 3-bedroom home from Orlando, FL to Charleston, SC, and America First Moving made it an absolute breeze. The crew arrived right on time, handled all my furniture with extreme care, and even disassembled and reassembled my large dining table without a scratch. Everything was delivered exactly as promised, and they kept me updated during the entire trip. This was my first long-distance move, and they set the bar high.
I moved from Syracuse, New York to Greenville, South Carolina for a new position. America First Moving explained the process clearly and stayed in touch throughout the trip. My two bedroom apartment arrived exactly when promised and everything was in great condition.
I recently moved from Houston to Seattle, WA using America First Moving, and overall it was a very good experience. The entire process was well organized and handled professionally from start to finish. The movers took great care of my belongings, especially my fragile glass table and bedroom furniture, making sure everything was well protected during the move. Everything arrived safely without any damage, which I really appreciated. The only downside was that the delivery was about an hour late, but the team communicated and still worked efficiently. Overall, I’d give America First Moving 4 stars for reliable and careful service.
My wife and I relocated from Seattle, Washington to Miami, Florida for her medical residency. America First Moving handled the long trip like true professionals. They were upfront about pricing, showed up early, and delivered exactly on schedule. Our furniture and electronics made it without a single scratch.
America First is a moving broker. They contract with local moving companies to do the actual move. The initial phone quote was $8500 (paperwork sent confirming price). Since this was my fourth quote it lined up with the other three quotes I rec'd. But, when the inventory list was done, the price went to $13,000. They did lower it to $11,587 (which was still extremely high). I had no time to change my moving company. The main person I communicated with was the driver. His command of the English language was poor. The packers could not speak or understand English. The following items were damaged or destroyed: 1) Molding on the hutch was damaged, 2) broken pictures / glass frames, 3) clothes were not hung in wardrobes, they were folded and stacked until there was no more room. Could not reach the bottom of the box and the box was too heavy for me to tip over so I could empty it. 4) wrapped candles in two sets of sheets and the red dye permanently stained and ruined the sheets, 5) salad crisper destroyed, 6) broke glass globe stand, 6) broke standing light stand, 7) sleep # mattress was not wrapped correctly so it does not operate correctly. Will cost me $290 just to have a representative to evaluate the damage. Finally, when I sent my letter, with pictures of all the damaged/broken items, they said they could compensate me $100. At that point, I knew there was no need to speak to them any further. DO NOT USE THSE PEOPLE. They are scammers!
I moved from St. Petersburg, FL to Charlotte, NC, and America First Moving took care of everything. The 2-bedroom apartment was packed up quickly, and they made sure to handle my electronics with extra padding. Delivery was right on time, and the movers even helped place my furniture where I wanted it.
Could not be more pleased with my move with America First movers. They promised excellence and they delivered. They made a trying experience hassle-free and easy. Eric, Robert, Sarah, Angel and Irma were incredible!
