I had to move from Miami, FL to Raleigh, NC for a new position. America First Moving handled my 2 bedroom apartment perfectly. They packed everything safely, communicated the entire way, and delivered right on time.
Our family finally made the move from Brooklyn, New York to Charlotte, North Carolina, and we couldn’t be happier. America First Moving was efficient, friendly, and very well-organized. They loaded everything carefully and stayed in touch until delivery. Moving with kids is tough, but they made it surprisingly easy.
This company sold us on a so-called “White Glove Service,” which is exactly why we agreed to pay their much higher price — over $3,600 more than the competition. The service was specifically described to us as including: “Packing, transportation, storage, delivery, UNPACKING, and putting all items where they belong, with the exception of kitchen boxes. You won’t have to do a thing — just sit back and watch.” Delivery day came, and not a single box was unpacked. The salesman promised one thing verbally, then changed the wording in the contract so the company could hide behind technical language and keep our money. First, they claimed unpacking “wasn’t in the contract.” When I asked them to review the recorded sales call, they changed their story again and said “White Glove Service” is just an expression — not an actual service they provide. That is plain and simple fraud. To make matters worse, they offered us a $200 “good faith gesture” only if we signed a document stating that: • We received all services promised verbally and in writing • We would not dispute the charges • We would not pursue any additional complaints It felt less like customer service and more like dealing with a moving mafia. If this review helps even one or two people avoid this company and their deceptive practices, then they can keep the $200.

The crew showed up on time, packed my kitchen and fragile glass pieces with extra care, and even labeled all the boxes so unpacking was simple. What impressed me most was how they communicated during the long drive — I always knew where my belongings were. Everything arrived safe and intact.

They were not only the first to respond when I asked for quotes from 5 other movers, but they also had the best pricing by far. The movers were extremely careful with my furniture and used their time excellently. We heartily suggest them for an easy move!
Complete scam. They sent a third party to move my stuff, who demanded an extra $2500 to do the job, which I had to pay. I felt like I was being blackmailed. I had to agree to the extra payment because I needed to move my stuff ASAP, and they took advantage of it. Never had such a bad experience with a mover.
