My relocation from Naples, FL to Columbus, OH couldn’t have gone better thanks to America First Moving. They were on time, worked hard, and made sure every piece of furniture was wrapped and protected.
We relocated from Pittsburgh, PA to Orlando, FL and the entire experience felt very well organized. The movers were respectful, worked efficiently, and made sure nothing was damaged.
I relocated from Phoenix, AZ to San Antonio, TX and America First Moving handled everything professionally. The crew worked fast, protected my furniture well, and kept communication clear throughout the trip. Delivery was smooth and stress-free.
We moved right before Christmas from Knoxville, Tennessee to Fort Collins, Colorado for my new engineering role. America First Moving stayed on schedule despite winter weather and holiday traffic. They even helped wrap a few fragile decorations we forgot to pack.
When my husband got a new position in Denver, Colorado, we had to move our family from Jacksonville, Florida. We were nervous about such a big change, but America First Moving made the transition surprisingly smooth. They packed everything, kept us informed during the trip, and delivered right on time. The movers were kind to our kids and even helped reassemble our beds. It truly felt like we had friends helping us move.
America First is a moving broker. They contract with local moving companies to do the actual move. The initial phone quote was $8500 (paperwork sent confirming price). Since this was my fourth quote it lined up with the other three quotes I rec'd. But, when the inventory list was done, the price went to $13,000. They did lower it to $11,587 (which was still extremely high). I had no time to change my moving company. The main person I communicated with was the driver. His command of the English language was poor. The packers could not speak or understand English. The following items were damaged or destroyed: 1) Molding on the hutch was damaged, 2) broken pictures / glass frames, 3) clothes were not hung in wardrobes, they were folded and stacked until there was no more room. Could not reach the bottom of the box and the box was too heavy for me to tip over so I could empty it. 4) wrapped candles in two sets of sheets and the red dye permanently stained and ruined the sheets, 5) salad crisper destroyed, 6) broke glass globe stand, 6) broke standing light stand, 7) sleep # mattress was not wrapped correctly so it does not operate correctly. Will cost me $290 just to have a representative to evaluate the damage. Finally, when I sent my letter, with pictures of all the damaged/broken items, they said they could compensate me $100. At that point, I knew there was no need to speak to them any further. DO NOT USE THSE PEOPLE. They are scammers!
If i could give zero starts, I would. This company is an absolute scam. Even though we showed him all the items in the video call for couple of hrs. They intentionally gave us a low ball estimate by reducing the cubic ft. On the day of pickup, they would argue about the cubic ft and the person who originally estimated wont pickup your call. When they estimate, they would do sweet talk to get the order. We had to pay additional 30% of the money since we dont have choice at the time of pickup. Whats worse is, they blatantly lied about not out sourcing - my move was handled by multiple different companies, none of which were professional or reliable. All of our Bi-cycles broke, some of the boxes were damaged. Initially they told they will deliver in 2-3 days when they want to get the order but they delivered only after 2 weeks. The guys who delivered made all of our carpet dirty in our apartment. We asked to clean it up but they didnt saying they dont have cleaning stuff and they have to urgently deliver something else. Avoid this company at all costs unless you want stress, hidden fees, broken promises and zero accountability. Total nightmare.
We only had a 2-bedroom apartment in Fort Lauderdale, FL, but moving to Jacksonville with a toddler and a newborn felt overwhelming. America First Moving made it smooth and quick. They even brought extra boxes for last-minute baby items. I couldn’t be more grateful for their patience.
I moved from a 3-bedroom home in Port Orange to a house in New Smyrna Beach, and America First Moving did a fantastic job. They packed my furniture and electronics safely, handled my fragile items with care, and worked quickly without any problems. I couldn’t be happier with their service.
