I accepted a new position in Charleston, South Carolina and needed to move quickly from Asheville, North Carolina. America First Moving got everything packed and delivered on time. The crew worked efficiently and kept in touch throughout the trip.
Complete scam. They sent a third party to move my stuff, who demanded an extra $2500 to do the job, which I had to pay. I felt like I was being blackmailed. I had to agree to the extra payment because I needed to move my stuff ASAP, and they took advantage of it. Never had such a bad experience with a mover.

Moving from Gainesville, FL to Richmond, VA was surprisingly easy thanks to America First Moving. I had a 3-bedroom rental with plenty of books and kitchenware, and they packed it all perfectly. They were friendly, quick, and careful with my belongings. Everything arrived safe and sound.
I had to move from Jacksonville, FL to Austin, TX for a new job, and America First Moving truly delivered. My 2-bedroom apartment was packed up in just a few hours, and the movers labeled every box so unpacking was painless. The driver kept me informed about their arrival time, and all my electronics and kitchenware made it safely without any damage. They turned what I expected to be a headache into a smooth, worry-free experience.
My company sent me from Charlotte, NC to Houston, TX, and America First Moving made it all possible within my short timeline. They handled packing, transport, and unloading with professionalism. No surprises, just great service from start to finish.
America First is a moving broker. They contract with local moving companies to do the actual move. The initial phone quote was $8500 (paperwork sent confirming price). Since this was my fourth quote it lined up with the other three quotes I rec'd. But, when the inventory list was done, the price went to $13,000. They did lower it to $11,587 (which was still extremely high). I had no time to change my moving company. The main person I communicated with was the driver. His command of the English language was poor. The packers could not speak or understand English. The following items were damaged or destroyed: 1) Molding on the hutch was damaged, 2) broken pictures / glass frames, 3) clothes were not hung in wardrobes, they were folded and stacked until there was no more room. Could not reach the bottom of the box and the box was too heavy for me to tip over so I could empty it. 4) wrapped candles in two sets of sheets and the red dye permanently stained and ruined the sheets, 5) salad crisper destroyed, 6) broke glass globe stand, 6) broke standing light stand, 7) sleep # mattress was not wrapped correctly so it does not operate correctly. Will cost me $290 just to have a representative to evaluate the damage. Finally, when I sent my letter, with pictures of all the damaged/broken items, they said they could compensate me $100. At that point, I knew there was no need to speak to them any further. DO NOT USE THSE PEOPLE. They are scammers!
I relocated from a 3-bedroom home in Ocala to a bigger house in Belleview. America First Moving was on time, packed everything properly, and made the entire process smooth. No issues, no delays, and very friendly movers. Easily the most stress-free move I’ve had.
