Our move from Tulsa, OK to Charlotte, NC went smoothly thanks to America First Moving. The team worked quickly but still took the time to secure fragile boxes and protect larger furniture pieces. Communication remained clear throughout the trip.
After accepting a new position, I relocated from Santa Fe, New Mexico to Grand Rapids, Michigan. America First Moving handled the logistics professionally and kept me informed throughout the move. The packing team was efficient, and the delivery crew placed everything exactly where I needed it in the new apartment.
We decided to move from Reno, Nevada to Spokane, Washington so our kids could spend Christmas near grandparents. America First Moving handled our long-distance move smoothly and delivered ahead of schedule.
They were very nice and responsive until they cheat you. The moving teams showed up 4 hours before scheduled I was unprepared because I had a lot to take care of before the move. They demanded a $220 tip for junking a bed frame right outside the apartment. They didn't give me a chance to do a walk through after the move because when they called me to say they already left while I was at the dog park. I had to end up paying a smaller moving company to get all the stuff they left behind in my apartment the next day. When you call the back to complain they ghost you. Don't trust them with all that 25 years in the business crap they will tell you.
This company sold us on a so-called “White Glove Service,” which is exactly why we agreed to pay their much higher price — over $3,600 more than the competition. The service was specifically described to us as including: “Packing, transportation, storage, delivery, UNPACKING, and putting all items where they belong, with the exception of kitchen boxes. You won’t have to do a thing — just sit back and watch.” Delivery day came, and not a single box was unpacked. The salesman promised one thing verbally, then changed the wording in the contract so the company could hide behind technical language and keep our money. First, they claimed unpacking “wasn’t in the contract.” When I asked them to review the recorded sales call, they changed their story again and said “White Glove Service” is just an expression — not an actual service they provide. That is plain and simple fraud. To make matters worse, they offered us a $200 “good faith gesture” only if we signed a document stating that: • We received all services promised verbally and in writing • We would not dispute the charges • We would not pursue any additional complaints It felt less like customer service and more like dealing with a moving mafia. If this review helps even one or two people avoid this company and their deceptive practices, then they can keep the $200.

America First Moving showed up on time, packed everything neatly, and handled our fragile items with care. The movers were polite, worked efficiently, and stayed calm even when our kids were running around. Everything arrived exactly when they said it would, and nothing was broken.
America First Moving Services has nonexistent professionalism or reliability. Beware of unexpected price increases after they load your belongings onto the truck. Additionally, they and their subsidiaries (AMB Moving and Storage Inc. and Sorto Express Transportation Inc.) will hold your belongings hostage, with little to no support from anyone in resolving these issues. Only "give us what we want, how we want it." The company outsources its moves to third-party contractors, who in turn hire day laborers from in front of Home Depot, making it difficult to track shipments or hold anyone accountable. I’ve been waiting months for my belongings; I’m being pressured into paying additional fees before they’ll deliver my belongings. This is a scam company; they will lie and agree to any request to get your business, then bait and switch and provide nothing promised in the contract or via phone. I never authorized them to place my belongings in storage; they’re holding my items hostage and charging me storage fees for it. They took what they wanted out of my storage and left the rest, saying the whole truck wasn’t allocated to me. I’m still paying for a $500-a-month storage unit and have to hire another moving company and fly back to Las Vegas. They tried to overcharge me at pickup after my belongings had been loaded onto the truck. They forged a document; this is identity theft. Forget about those professional movers they raved about; they hire day laborers from in front of Home Depot. There are no professional movers. Only God knows who they have handling your belongings and in your home. Most of all, America First Moving has a pattern of deceptive pricing, poor communication, and lack of accountability, leading to a highly frustrating experience. If you bring up their dishonesty, they’ll deflect and only talk about extorting money from you. They or their subsidiaries won’t give me the correct billing. America First Moving Services didn’t provide any of what I contracted them to do. I had to involve the bank, and they returned the deposit that is allocated for them, only to add it back to the balance. A refund is just that, a refund. If they thought they deserved the money, they would have fought it at the bank, like every other legitimate business, not refunded and added it back to the bill. This is the worst company I’ve ever had to deal with. If you're considering them as a moving company, it may be best to explore other options with better reputations. Warning: Avoid them at all costs!!! Save yourself time, money, and your sanity.
I moved from my 3-bedroom home in Cape Coral to a new house in Fort Myers, and America First Moving did an excellent job from start to finish. They were punctual, professional, and handled my large furniture, TVs, and fragile decor with extra care. Everything was loaded and unloaded quickly without any damage. The team was friendly and helpful, even offering to arrange furniture exactly how I wanted. Moving felt simple thanks to them!
