A relative of mine recommended them for my move; I was surprised by his testimonial so I wanted them to help me with my move too. They offer full coverage insurance and it is not expensive at all. I decided to hire this company and to me was the best choice. They are very friendly movers and made sure my furniture arrived in perfect condition. My long-distance move from Ocala, FL to Milwaukee, WI was handled by America First Moving. The team communicated clearly, packed carefully, and delivered my things exactly as promised.
They were very nice and responsive until they cheat you. The moving teams showed up 4 hours before scheduled I was unprepared because I had a lot to take care of before the move. They demanded a $220 tip for junking a bed frame right outside the apartment. They didn't give me a chance to do a walk through after the move because when they called me to say they already left while I was at the dog park. I had to end up paying a smaller moving company to get all the stuff they left behind in my apartment the next day. When you call the back to complain they ghost you. Don't trust them with all that 25 years in the business crap they will tell you.
Moving from Tampa, FL to Dallas, TX was easy thanks to America First Moving. My 5-bedroom home had bulky furniture, gym equipment, and fragile items. The crew handled it all like pros. Everything arrived in perfect condition, and they kept me updated every step of the way.
I relocated from Santa Clara, CA to Chandler, AZ for a new engineering role. America First Moving stood out for their organization and professionalism. They carefully wrapped electronics, labeled everything clearly, and kept me informed during transit. When everything arrived exactly as listed and without damage, it confirmed I had chosen the right company.
If i could give zero starts, I would. This company is an absolute scam. Even though we showed him all the items in the video call for couple of hrs. They intentionally gave us a low ball estimate by reducing the cubic ft. On the day of pickup, they would argue about the cubic ft and the person who originally estimated wont pickup your call. When they estimate, they would do sweet talk to get the order. We had to pay additional 30% of the money since we dont have choice at the time of pickup. Whats worse is, they blatantly lied about not out sourcing - my move was handled by multiple different companies, none of which were professional or reliable. All of our Bi-cycles broke, some of the boxes were damaged. Initially they told they will deliver in 2-3 days when they want to get the order but they delivered only after 2 weeks. The guys who delivered made all of our carpet dirty in our apartment. We asked to clean it up but they didnt saying they dont have cleaning stuff and they have to urgently deliver something else. Avoid this company at all costs unless you want stress, hidden fees, broken promises and zero accountability. Total nightmare.
My experience with America First Moving was better than i expected. I've used Moving companies before, in the past and I've always ended up with a broken item or something missing upon delivery or movers who weren't careful loading from truck into my home. That wasn't the case with America First Moving. First, i received a quote that was lower than over 90% of other companies I've contacted for the same job. Next i was connected with a move coordinator who let me know what to expect step-by-step. Once the formalities were complete, the movers the company sent carefully and quickly packaged and loaded all items into the truck. I was moving to Florida from Vermont and i received real time updates of the drivers progress/ location, which made me feel secure during the traveling process. The driver arrived on time, my items were unloaded by their movers and they even helped me assemble a few tables and furniture. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to move from A-B with no problems or worries.
