How to opt out of the sale or sharing of your information

By MGM Editorial Team Last updated

Under some U.S. state privacy laws, sharing information about your visit with our advertising partners, and sending your quote request to moving companies that pay us, can count as a “sale” or “sharing”. You can opt out of both.

Opt out of marketing cookies

Open Cookie Settings in the site footer and turn marketing cookies off. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as an opt-out automatically. If it sends the signal when you submit a form, we also apply it to the details you enter there.

Opt out for your quote requests

Go to Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information and enter the email address or phone number you used with us, or email [email protected] with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share”. After that, we stop sending your details to moving companies that pay us for leads.

If you request quotes after opting out

Submitting a quote form doesn’t cancel your opt-out. The form asks you to confirm, as a separate step, that you want that request sent to moving companies that pay us. If you confirm, we send only that request. If you don’t, we don’t send it.

Good to know

You don’t need to verify your identity to opt out. We apply opt-outs as soon as feasible, and in any case within 15 business days. An authorized agent can make the request for you. You can keep using the site as usual, and we won’t treat you differently.
