Andrew and his team were accommodating when I rescheduled my move twice. Without any grumbling, they made room for me. On a moving day, I found I had more boxes than anticipated, but the crew swiftly adapted and brought in extra supplies. As a result, the relocating procedure became far less stressful.
I moved into a new-build home and had appliances, boxes, and brand-new furniture to deliver. I was worried about scratches and dings, but the movers used floor protection and blankets without me even asking. They double-checked placement before leaving and helped unpack a few bigger pieces. It felt like they cared about how the home looked when they left.
Our townhouse move took around 5 hours with two trucks. The crew carried wardrobes, beds, and couches up narrow stairs without damaging walls. Their teamwork stood out. I would gladly recommend them to anyone with big furniture.
This move was booked through Value Added Movers, and the contracted carrier that showed up (or was assigned) was Unlimited Moving and Storage. I had a confirmed pickup window, and they did not show up during that window. There was no proactive communication and no clear update. I had to chase multiple numbers myself to get any information. When they finally arrived / the move progressed, the pricing situation escalated. STIVEN took payment from me via Venmo prior to the move without providing clear written documentation explaining what the payment covered and what the binding total would be. Ultimately, the move never happened as promised. After they demanded additional money well beyond what I was quoted…$10,000, it became extremely difficult to get my belongings unloaded and returned from the truck without signing some obscure document. I requested a moment to read the paperwork I was being asked to sign to unload the truck, and STIVEN threatened that it would be ‘$500 per minute’ if I didn’t sign immediately. I had to get the cops involved because the driver threatened to leave with my things if I didn’t sign it immediately. I felt pressured and trapped in a situation that should never happen with a professional mover. I strongly recommend avoiding this company and being very cautious with brokers: verify the actual carrier, demand a binding estimate and itemized paperwork, and do not send peer-to-peer payments without full documentation. They handled my belongings with great care, using protective blankets and bubble wrap for fragile items. Even large furniture was disassembled and wrapped meticulously.
