I was very careful while wrapping delicate items, such as my priceless grandmother's china set. The fact that my whole possessions arrived at my new home unscathed fills me with joy.
Had to move my stuff out of storage after two years. Everything was dusty and awkward to carry, but the movers didn’t complain. They loaded it all up and even helped me clean a few items. Honest, reliable, reputable company!
Fantastic work! They packed peace of mind in addition to our belongings. They took great care, and there were no surprises when we opened the boxes. Everything at our new house went without a hitch.
Our experience was wonderful until AFTER the contract was signed. A completely different set of people from the person who originally quoted our move cross country. We ended up paying thousands of dollars because we needed a shuttle service to take products moved outside to a cargo van then to a semi. Their comment was it’s in the contract if needed. My comment was that in this day and age my driveway can be seen thru Google maps or many other sites. Their logistics manger (if there is one) should have reviewed the access before giving the quote. Movers were never on time. I had sent photos of everything to be moved and we had eliminated many things also. The price went up $5000! When it came time to bring boxes into our house that was delayed again by hours. I paid for white glove move. The guys at the move in site did not know this, had no tools to put beds together. They were complaining to me and I said call your supervisor. One box with all fragile glassware had numerous broken items. To submit a claim is like pulling teeth. You need your signed bill of lading that had changed numerous times. It took them 2 months to email that to me. Poor poor service everywhere except for the sales person that initially quoted the move. Never use this company. They are impossible to deal with once the move starts.
The employees are very knowledgeable and eager to assist. The service itself is reasonably priced. The day after we arrived in Florida, they even prepared my kitchen and cabinets for use in Texas.
This move was booked through Value Added Movers, and the contracted carrier that showed up (or was assigned) was Unlimited Moving and Storage. I had a confirmed pickup window, and they did not show up during that window. There was no proactive communication and no clear update. I had to chase multiple numbers myself to get any information. When they finally arrived / the move progressed, the pricing situation escalated. STIVEN took payment from me via Venmo prior to the move without providing clear written documentation explaining what the payment covered and what the binding total would be. Ultimately, the move never happened as promised. After they demanded additional money well beyond what I was quoted…$10,000, it became extremely difficult to get my belongings unloaded and returned from the truck without signing some obscure document. I requested a moment to read the paperwork I was being asked to sign to unload the truck, and STIVEN threatened that it would be ‘$500 per minute’ if I didn’t sign immediately. I had to get the cops involved because the driver threatened to leave with my things if I didn’t sign it immediately. I felt pressured and trapped in a situation that should never happen with a professional mover. I strongly recommend avoiding this company and being very cautious with brokers: verify the actual carrier, demand a binding estimate and itemized paperwork, and do not send peer-to-peer payments without full documentation. Moving the office sounded like a headache with desks, monitors, and cables everywhere. But the crew came in and handled it. By the next day, we were back to work like nothing had happened. Thanks guys. You are awesome.
