Moving company in Lincolnwood, IL
Had to move my stuff out of storage after two years. Everything was dusty and awkward to carry, but the movers didn’t complain. They loaded it all up and even helped me clean a few items. Honest, reliable, reputable company!
No regrets! Everything went as promised. Items were picked up on time and delivered on time. Communication is great. The office staff promptly addressed any concerns and Tommy the Driver kept me updated on the ETA. The ground staff for the unloading showed up on time, unloaded things and helped unbox and placed items both large and small. Moving cost was about $1500 cheaper than a Uhaul moving box. In fact I put a pencil to the move and I couldn’t have rented a truck, load, unload and drive 2400 miles plus hotel and meals as cheap as Unlimited. Another plus is that when dealing with Unlimited you are not dealing with brokers who constantly call or email and depending upon the company you will get torpedoed by expensive fine print. Been there and done that. A royal pain! Would I use Unlimited Movers again? Yes, without hesitation.
This move was booked through Value Added Movers, and the contracted carrier that showed up (or was assigned) was Unlimited Moving and Storage. I had a confirmed pickup window, and they did not show up during that window. There was no proactive communication and no clear update. I had to chase multiple numbers myself to get any information. When they finally arrived / the move progressed, the pricing situation escalated. STIVEN took payment from me via Venmo prior to the move without providing clear written documentation explaining what the payment covered and what the binding total would be. Ultimately, the move never happened as promised. After they demanded additional money well beyond what I was quoted…$10,000, it became extremely difficult to get my belongings unloaded and returned from the truck without signing some obscure document. I requested a moment to read the paperwork I was being asked to sign to unload the truck, and STIVEN threatened that it would be ‘$500 per minute’ if I didn’t sign immediately. I had to get the cops involved because the driver threatened to leave with my things if I didn’t sign it immediately. I felt pressured and trapped in a situation that should never happen with a professional mover. I strongly recommend avoiding this company and being very cautious with brokers: verify the actual carrier, demand a binding estimate and itemized paperwork, and do not send peer-to-peer payments without full documentation. Stiven Mendez: I’ve retained counsel and will be pursuing all available legal remedies.
Nicholas kept asking me where each box should go instead of just setting it down. I liked that approach. It showed respect for my things and made the move feel more personal.
Unlimited Moving and Storage LLC here are absolute pros. They treated our belongings as though they were their own when packing them. We were very happy with our moving experience from start to finish.
When the first moving firm bailed on me, I knew I could count on Unlimited Moving & Storage LLC to swoop in and save the day! They arranged a meeting for the same day, which was immensely helpful. Emmanuel and Maxwell were there with lightning speed and sharp minds when I needed a lifeline, handling my stuff with utmost care and ensuring it all made its way to my new place without a single scratch. Talk about a dream team!
We absolutely loved working with Ashley. She was kind, courteous, knowledgeable and offered very fair quotes! If I have to move again I would use them! Thank you so much Ashley and Unlimited
The Mark’s team wrapped them in paper packaging before securing them with bubble wrap. As a last precaution, they were placed in cardboard boxes for massive safety. When they delivered safely, Worthwhile experience!!
Unlimited Moving and Storage LLC was wonderful. They went beyond what I expected and were extra careful with all of my belongings! They were friendly, on time, and kept me informed at all times. I would highly recommend them!
I moved into a new-build home and had appliances, boxes, and brand-new furniture to deliver. I was worried about scratches and dings, but the movers used floor protection and blankets without me even asking. They double-checked placement before leaving and helped unpack a few bigger pieces. It felt like they cared about how the home looked when they left.
At My Good Movers, we believe peace of mind starts with verified credentials. Unlimited Moving and Storage LLC holds all required registrations to legally operate both local and interstate moves.
