Moving company in Charlotte, NC
The estimate we received was reasonably close to the final cost. We did pay a little more because we added a bookcase, extra boxes, and packing for two large mirrors that weren't included in the original inventory
Helping my daughter move out of state for school. Small load — bed, desk, boxes, a few bins. The crew was friendly and quick, didn't make us feel like a small job wasn't worth their time. On time, careful with her stuff, fair price. Made the college move easy on both of us.
The packing team brought boxes, packing paper, and bubble wrap and got through it surprisingly quickly. Glasses were individually wrapped and the heavier dishes were packed in smaller boxes rather than overloaded ones.
The packing crew handled books, kitchen items, closets, artwork, electronics, and a ridiculous amount of miscellaneous household stuff. They used wardrobe boxes for hanging clothes and clearly marked the boxes by room. The next day, the moving crew wrapped the furniture and loaded everything. We had a three-bedroom home plus a small home office, so there was plenty to move.
I've moved apartments with friends before, and it usually turns into an all-day event involving somebody's pickup truck and a lot of bad decisions. This time I hired movers. The movers had everything out much faster than I would have. They wrapped the furniture and carried the TV separately instead of tossing it between boxes.
Small office relocation to another state, done over a weekend to avoid losing work time. The crew labeled everything by desk and workstation, wrapped the electronics, and was careful with a couple of glass conference pieces. One box of files ended up in the wrong office and we had to hunt for it Monday, minor annoyance. Otherwise the timing worked, downtime was minimal, and we were operational when we needed to be.
I have a gun safe and an oversized sectional, two of the most annoying things to move. Add stairs and a move to another state and I braced for problems. The crew had the equipment and knew what they were doing. The safe took four of them and a lot of care but they got it down and loaded without dropping it or damaging the stairs. The sectional came apart, got wrapped, and reassembled cleanly. Heavy stuff, handled right.
Relocated a small professional office to another state and could not afford much downtime. They came in after hours, packed and labeled everything by workstation, wrapped the electronics and a couple of framed diplomas, and had us set back up at the new location fast. Desks reassembled, boxes in the right rooms. We opened on schedule. Handled it like they'd done a hundred office moves before.
Between work and a newborn there was zero chance I could pack and move a house across state lines myself. Full-service was the only realistic option. They packed everything, wrapped and disassembled the furniture, loaded, drove to Dallas, unloaded, and reassembled the beds and table. All the materials came with them. Delivery hit the window. It cost more than a DIY move obviously, but for the time and stress it saved, it was completely worth it.
Everything had been labeled in advance, but they still confirmed which furniture belonged in each office at the new location. Desks were taken apart where necessary and reassembled on arrival. The conference table was probably the most difficult piece because of its size and weight. They wrapped the top and moved the base separately. By the end of the evening, the major furniture was in place and our staff only had to reconnect equipment the next morning
