Needed movers fast and got it done
The final amount increased a little because I had more items than the original inventory, which was fair. The important thing was that I got out of the apartment on time.

We finally got my mother to move up near us and out of the house she'd lived in for thirty years. She was anxious about the whole thing. The crew was gentle and unhurried with her, which mattered more than anything. They wrapped her antiques and her old hutch with real care and kept an eye on her the whole day. Reassembled her bedroom set so she wasn't sleeping on a bare mattress the first night. It made a hard transition easier on all of us.
Everything had been labeled in advance, but they still confirmed which furniture belonged in each office at the new location. Desks were taken apart where necessary and reassembled on arrival. The conference table was probably the most difficult piece because of its size and weight. They wrapped the top and moved the base separately. By the end of the evening, the major furniture was in place and our staff only had to reconnect equipment the next morning
Moving a family of four out of state is chaos no matter how you slice it. We had two kids underfoot, a dog that kept trying to escape, and a garage full of stuff we'd been meaning to sort for years. The crew rolled in and just took charge in the best way. They packed the kitchen and the fragile items for us, wardrobe boxes for the closets so we didn't have to fold everything, and they were careful about keeping the boxes organized by room. What I appreciated most was the communication — I got a call the morning of pickup with the arrival window, and another when the truck was a day out from Portland. Delivery came right on schedule. A couple of plastic bins cracked, nothing serious, and the final price was a bit higher than the estimate because we added the garage stuff last minute, which was on us, not them. Would recommend to any family doing a big cross-country haul.
The packing crew handled books, kitchen items, closets, artwork, electronics, and a ridiculous amount of miscellaneous household stuff. They used wardrobe boxes for hanging clothes and clearly marked the boxes by room. The next day, the moving crew wrapped the furniture and loaded everything. We had a three-bedroom home plus a small home office, so there was plenty to move.
Our three-bedroom house was completely full, and the garage probably added another room's worth of things. I was worried that I had underestimated how much we owned. The movers checked the inventory with us and pointed out the extra items before loading. I appreciated knowing about it rather than being surprised later. They wrapped all the major furniture, including our bedroom sets, dining table, sectional, and two TVs. The garage items were awkward because we had tools, shelving, bikes, and outdoor equipment, but they organized everything pretty well.
The packing team brought boxes, packing paper, and bubble wrap and got through it surprisingly quickly. Glasses were individually wrapped and the heavier dishes were packed in smaller boxes rather than overloaded ones.
The movers ended up helping with kitchen items, lamps, pictures, closet contents, and some garage items. They had packing paper, boxes, tape, and bubble wrap available, which saved us from running to the store again. The actual packing was careful. Our dishes, glasses, and framed pictures arrived safely. Furniture was wrapped before loading and the crew reassembled the bed and dining table at the new place
The estimate we received was reasonably close to the final cost. We did pay a little more because we added a bookcase, extra boxes, and packing for two large mirrors that weren't included in the original inventory
I collect glass and have a few larger framed pieces, so the fragile handling was my whole concern here. I told them upfront and they came prepared — extra bubble wrap, packing paper, custom-cut cardboard for the framed art. They wrapped each glass piece individually and packed them tight so nothing shifted. The glass dining table got blanketed and boxed on its edge the way it's supposed to be. Everything arrived in Richmond intact, every single piece. If you're moving anything breakable out of state, these are the people I'd trust with it.
