Moving company in Charlotte, NC
A few pieces of furniture were not handled with the level of care I expected. Some items were moved without proper wrapping, and the crew appeared to rush through the tighter areas of the house. This made me concerned about possible damage. More careful handling would have been better.
The movers arrived much later than the scheduled time, which caused a lot of inconvenience. Communication was poor throughout the process. Overall, the experience was disappointing.
I was disappointed with the overall service because the process was poorly organized and took longer than expected. Communication was inconsistent, making the experience unnecessarily stressful.
I had never experienced something so horrible. To begin with, this is a broker rather than an actual moving business. They provide the idea that they have cars and drivers, even when they don't. While your contract is moved to a new company that quickly informs you that the new, higher charges do not align with the prior agreement, your furniture is held captive.
I had to move my home gym equipment, including a heavy treadmill and squat rack, and I was convinced it’d be a hassle. To my surprise, the movers had all the right tools and knew exactly how to disassemble and reassemble everything. They wrapped each part, kept the screws organized, and put it all back together faster than I expected. That level of care was way beyond what I thought I’d get.
I had to move my elderly parents' things from an old house to an assisted living facility. There was a lot to sort through, and some items were quite delicate. The movers took extra care with everything, packing the fragile items carefully and treating the whole move with so much respect. They even helped my parent settle in by arranging the furniture in their new room. It was a thoughtful touch that really meant a lot.
The boxes were packed and arranged without much organization. Some labels were difficult to read, while others were missing completely. After delivery, we spent extra time figuring out which boxes belonged in each room. The packing process needed better attention to detail.
The moving crew arrived behind schedule, and there was no clear explanation for the delay. We had planned the day around the original arrival time, so this caused several problems. Loading also moved at a slow pace once they arrived. The overall start was quite frustrating.
This company does not provide relocation services. These brokers are deliberately dishonest and misleading. They have unreliable carriers conduct the actual moving so they can escape being held accountable for anything that goes wrong with your interstate move. They told us that they would be on their way to our destination as soon as our items were picked up. This is, of course, not true. Please don't call them.
We hired Mayzlin for a cross country move from California to NC. The sales guy (Jack) made it sound like this would be a smooth operation as Mayzlin has offices in both SoCal and Charlotte. Currently, we are in limbo with our stuff in a warehouse and no indication on when they will ship it to us. Both my wife and I work remote and have to make do with an empty house while we await some sort of notice. The Good The crew that showed up. They were really professional and loaded up the truck with care. Really nice guys and were pretty careful with the loading. The Bad No communication. “Jack” the sales guy who promised to be with us the whole move is ghosting us. The customer service responds with basic “when the truck is loaded you’ll get a call from dispatch.” No indication of when we can expect the move even though we scheduled our move in advance. On top of all that, they also charged us more at pick up. So as of right now, they’re a 1 star review. If they reach out and be more transparent and deliver our household to us I will reconsider and change the review.
At My Good Movers, we believe peace of mind starts with verified credentials. Mayzlin Relocation LLC holds all required registrations to legally operate both local and interstate moves.
