I expected a more professional experience based on the reviews. The team seemed disorganized and spent a lot of time figuring things out instead of moving efficiently.
I had never experienced something so horrible. To begin with, this is a broker rather than an actual moving business. They provide the idea that they have cars and drivers, even when they don't. While your contract is moved to a new company that quickly informs you that the new, higher charges do not align with the prior agreement, your furniture is held captive.
The boxes were packed and arranged without much organization. Some labels were difficult to read, while others were missing completely. After delivery, we spent extra time figuring out which boxes belonged in each room. The packing process needed better attention to detail.
This company does not provide relocation services. These brokers are deliberately dishonest and misleading. They have unreliable carriers conduct the actual moving so they can escape being held accountable for anything that goes wrong with your interstate move. They told us that they would be on their way to our destination as soon as our items were picked up. This is, of course, not true. Please don't call them.
A few pieces of furniture were not handled with the level of care I expected. Some items were moved without proper wrapping, and the crew appeared to rush through the tighter areas of the house. This made me concerned about possible damage. More careful handling would have been better.
The movers went above and beyond just moving boxes. They helped me with a few unexpected things too. They offered to disconnect and reconnect my washing machine hoses, which saved me a big hassle. They also helped me move a giant potted plant that I couldn't lift on my own. Mayzlin Relocation LLC did a fantastic job with my move.
Mayzlin Relocation LLC communication was top-notch throughout the whole process. The estimator who came to my house beforehand was very clear about the pricing and what was included in the service. The office staff kept me updated with emails and phone calls about the schedule and any questions I had were answered promptly and thoroughly. The movers also communicated well, letting me know what they were doing each step of the way and asking questions whenever necessary.
Unfortunately, the service did not meet my expectations. There were unexpected delays, and getting updates from customer support was difficult. I expected a much smoother experience.
The moving crew arrived behind schedule, and there was no clear explanation for the delay. We had planned the day around the original arrival time, so this caused several problems. Loading also moved at a slow pace once they arrived. The overall start was quite frustrating.
