Moving company in Charlotte, NC
A few pieces of furniture were not handled with the level of care I expected. Some items were moved without proper wrapping, and the crew appeared to rush through the tighter areas of the house. This made me concerned about possible damage. More careful handling would have been better.
The boxes were packed and arranged without much organization. Some labels were difficult to read, while others were missing completely. After delivery, we spent extra time figuring out which boxes belonged in each room. The packing process needed better attention to detail.
Honestly, the only thing that saves this from being zero stars was that the pick up and delivery drivers were extremely helpful. However, the process behind the scenes was awful. Starting with the estimation and sales process, you are told that for a move of my distance (under 1000 miles) that your items will be delivered in a week. However, they do not actually know if this is the case as it is based on when trucks are available. Which I do not understand how this is possible as you'd think they have a schedule built out of when trucks are leaving for certain areas based on the sales already made. Then when arriving at my new apartment, trying to get a helpful answer from the customer service line was nearly impossible. When I did get a hold of them to ask if they had any update as it was over the week I was told my belongings would be at my apartment, they were extremely rude and unhelpful. I had a follow up question which I had to call back and ask, and I was kicked to a voicemail line which says your call will be returned within 24 hours of leaving a message. My call was never returned, and I was unable to get through to the customer service line after the first call. The final count of days living in my new apartment without any of my items outside of what I could fit in my Wrangler was over two weeks. Had there been any upfront communication on how long it would take I would have made other arrangements for the move in or had my items picked up at a later date closer to when the truck was actually available. Definitely explore other options outside of Mayzlin.
We had one day to move out of our office suite before the new lease started. This crew worked late into the evening to make sure we met our deadline. They disassembled desks, wrapped computer monitors with care, and loaded the truck like pros. Everything showed up at the new space just as we left it. We wholeheartedly recommend them!
The movers arrived much later than the scheduled time, which caused a lot of inconvenience. Communication was poor throughout the process. Overall, the experience was disappointing.
I’ve had a few movers over the years, but none of them was as good as this team. They turned up early, they were fast and their attitude was good the whole time. I was amazed at how they packed my delicate items, including my grandmother’s China. Not even a crack or a chip!! They were also really respectful, with questions and making sure everything was in the place I wanted. Just an all-around excellent experience.
I had never experienced something so horrible. To begin with, this is a broker rather than an actual moving business. They provide the idea that they have cars and drivers, even when they don't. While your contract is moved to a new company that quickly informs you that the new, higher charges do not align with the prior agreement, your furniture is held captive.
The moving crew arrived behind schedule, and there was no clear explanation for the delay. We had planned the day around the original arrival time, so this caused several problems. Loading also moved at a slow pace once they arrived. The overall start was quite frustrating.
My move was delayed because the crew arrived without the proper equipment. What should have been a simple move turned into an all-day process. Very disappointing experience.
This company does not provide relocation services. These brokers are deliberately dishonest and misleading. They have unreliable carriers conduct the actual moving so they can escape being held accountable for anything that goes wrong with your interstate move. They told us that they would be on their way to our destination as soon as our items were picked up. This is, of course, not true. Please don't call them.
