Moving company in Charlotte, NC
The moving crew arrived behind schedule, and there was no clear explanation for the delay. We had planned the day around the original arrival time, so this caused several problems. Loading also moved at a slow pace once they arrived. The overall start was quite frustrating.
I had never experienced something so horrible. To begin with, this is a broker rather than an actual moving business. They provide the idea that they have cars and drivers, even when they don't. While your contract is moved to a new company that quickly informs you that the new, higher charges do not align with the prior agreement, your furniture is held captive.
I expected a more professional experience based on the reviews. The team seemed disorganized and spent a lot of time figuring things out instead of moving efficiently.
Unfortunately, the service did not meet my expectations. There were unexpected delays, and getting updates from customer support was difficult. I expected a much smoother experience.
A few pieces of furniture were not handled with the level of care I expected. Some items were moved without proper wrapping, and the crew appeared to rush through the tighter areas of the house. This made me concerned about possible damage. More careful handling would have been better.
My husband and I were nervous about hiring movers after a bad experience with another company years ago. But thankfully, this company completely changed our perspective with their exceptional service. From the first phone call, their team was professional, courteous, and attentive to our needs. The movers arrived on time and came prepared with everything necessary to protect our belongings, including extra padding for our delicate furniture. They worked diligently, and handled every item with care as if it were their own. Once we arrived at our new home, they carefully unloaded and even helped us assemble our bed and dining table. They didn’t even charge us for it! They’ll definitely be our go-to movers whenever we move again!
The boxes were packed and arranged without much organization. Some labels were difficult to read, while others were missing completely. After delivery, we spent extra time figuring out which boxes belonged in each room. The packing process needed better attention to detail.
Moving with pets is always tricky. My two cats were nervous, hiding under the bed. One of the movers took a few minutes to coax them out gently so I could put them in their carriers. It wasn’t part of their job, but they didn’t hesitate to help.
Our move was in the middle of winter, and the sidewalks were icy. The movers spread salt before carrying heavy furniture to avoid slipping. They also covered the truck’s floor with extra padding to keep things from sliding around during transit.
This company does not provide relocation services. These brokers are deliberately dishonest and misleading. They have unreliable carriers conduct the actual moving so they can escape being held accountable for anything that goes wrong with your interstate move. They told us that they would be on their way to our destination as soon as our items were picked up. This is, of course, not true. Please don't call them.
At My Good Movers, we believe peace of mind starts with verified credentials. Mayzlin Relocation LLC holds all required registrations to legally operate both local and interstate moves.
