Moving company in Charlotte, NC
A few pieces of furniture were not handled with the level of care I expected. Some items were moved without proper wrapping, and the crew appeared to rush through the tighter areas of the house. This made me concerned about possible damage. More careful handling would have been better.
The moving crew arrived behind schedule, and there was no clear explanation for the delay. We had planned the day around the original arrival time, so this caused several problems. Loading also moved at a slow pace once they arrived. The overall start was quite frustrating.
Very upsetting and costly experience dealing with this company. Their lack of good customer service was astounding. The "professional" movers turned out to be people they got off of Craig's list with no moving experience. They also held our stuff hostage when they added thousands onto our bill for the same inventory of items. We ended up paying $23,000 for a move that was supposed to be $18,000. We chose them because they were endorsed by Forbes but when I went back to look at the endorsement, it turns out it was a paid advertisement. Couldn't be more disappointed with the whole experience.
I would 100% hiring Mayzlin Relocation LLC!! They helped my sister and I move our heavy furniture and boxes to our new apartment. They were quick, efficient, respectful and very kind. Jack and our two other movers handled our things with care and patience with the craziness of covid restrictions. I will most definitely hire them again for our next move.
I was disappointed with the overall service because the process was poorly organized and took longer than expected. Communication was inconsistent, making the experience unnecessarily stressful.
This company does not provide relocation services. These brokers are deliberately dishonest and misleading. They have unreliable carriers conduct the actual moving so they can escape being held accountable for anything that goes wrong with your interstate move. They told us that they would be on their way to our destination as soon as our items were picked up. This is, of course, not true. Please don't call them.
I had never experienced something so horrible. To begin with, this is a broker rather than an actual moving business. They provide the idea that they have cars and drivers, even when they don't. While your contract is moved to a new company that quickly informs you that the new, higher charges do not align with the prior agreement, your furniture is held captive.
If I could give less than one star I would. Sadly using Mayzlin has been an absolutely awful experience. I had interviewed several companies for my cross country move and settled on Mayzlin because their sales rep, Nicolas was lovely and accommodating. Unfortunately everything he told me ended up being a lie. I was lucky enough to escape tragic fires in CA only to be stuck in limbo without my things and no guarantee of when or if I will even see my things again. I was told my belongings would be stored local to my delivery (within the state) but that was not true. I was told scheduling delivery would be easy and take only 7 days, also not true. When I set my delivery time frame I almost did it a week early but Nicolas assured me it was not necessary and my things would arrive within a week. As a single working mom I had family fly in to help me unpack but my things never arrived. Nicolas of course is now nowhere to be found and the customer service reps have been shockingly rude even to go so far as to mock me. The company will not give me ANY timeframe for when I can expect delivery. I somewhat jokingly asked them if it will come within the year and their reply was “the driver will call you.” I paid for premium level everything, a move costing over 12k and my things are nowhere to be found.
There was no damage whatsoever, and they expertly dealt with all of my fragile decorative items. Unloading was a breeze because they had already placed each box in its designated room when we arrived at my new apartment. Everything they did was so professional, and I am so grateful.
The movers arrived much later than the scheduled time, which caused a lot of inconvenience. Communication was poor throughout the process. Overall, the experience was disappointing.
