Moving company in Garfield, NJ
Used Howards Van Line for a quick move between rental houses. The team called before arriving and showed up exactly when they said they would. They moved the washer and fridge without scratching the floors. Everything was tied down neatly inside the truck. The job took about 2 hours start to finish.
My dad’s garage had heavy tools and a weird drill press. I figured they’d complain, but Howards Van Line just carried everything out like it was normal. They didn’t take long either.
Highly recommend this moving crew. I had a bunch of musical instruments, including a keyboard and speakers. They wrapped everything tightly and secured it in the truck. No bumps or marks when it arrived. You can tell they know what they're doing.
The movers carried my heavy treadmill down two flights of stairs without hitting a wall once. I don’t know how they did it, but I was beyond impressed watching them work.
Several boxes were handled carelessly, and a few belongings arrived damaged. The crew seemed rushed and paid little attention to fragile items. Very frustrating experience.
I highly recommend asking for Zachary if you book here. We had a tricky move with a narrow basement staircase. He measured everything first and had a plan. He guided his team perfectly, getting our freezer and washing machine up without a hitch. They were done in under 4 hours.
I expected a smoother process, but there were several issues along the way. Customer support was difficult to reach, and concerns were not addressed promptly. The experience was disappointing.
10/10 would use again. We were moving my daughter into a 3rd-floor apartment with no elevator. The guys from M Company carried every box and piece of furniture up all those stairs. They never slowed down or complained. They even helped her unpack the heaviest boxes. The whole job took about 5 hours, which was less than they quoted.
Communication was difficult from the beginning. Calls and messages were not returned promptly, and I had trouble getting updates about my move. Overall, not very reliable.
This was my first move alone, and I felt stressed. The movers took charge, asked me where things should go, and made it all feel manageable. I couldn’t have done it without them.
