I highly recommend asking for Zachary if you book here. We had a tricky move with a narrow basement staircase. He measured everything first and had a plan. He guided his team perfectly, getting our freezer and washing machine up without a hitch. They were done in under 4 hours.
The move from my old studio was a success. The guys had to take the heavy door off my wardrobe because it kept swinging open while they carried it. They gripped the wooden frame from the bottom and tilted it to clear the low ceiling in the hallway. I watched them shove thick foam blocks between my bike and the heavy boxes in the van.
I was impressed by how smoothly everything went during my move. The crew arrived right on time and knew exactly what to do from the start. They handled parking, paperwork, and unloading without needing any help from me. Everything was done quietly and efficiently. It’s rare to see that kind of preparation and teamwork these days.
If you ever need a moving company do not use Howards Van Line. My mom had the worst experience with them, she called them to arrange for them to move her to Georgia when she told them it was a 2 bedroom apartment they told her a price she agreed to it, after she sent pictures and she confirmed the packing list with them. They told her they would be there on the date in between 8-11a then the day before the moving day they called and said 6-8p. Moving day came and the movers told her her, that her furniture was to big and it would cost her another $7,000. When she asked how they figure out the square footage so she could see what she could and couldnt take they refused to show her and became very rude. My mom asked again and they told her they were going to cancel the moving contract. She called the manager on duty and was told they would take off $1000 which did nothing. They did move her things onto the truck but she had to leave more than half of her things, she also had to pay an extra $300 because it was more then 75 steps not feet but steps from the house to the truck. When they left they didnt clean up after themselves and left all the moving tape rolls and moving wrap trash. She was told it would it could take 4-7 days to get her things to the new house.
Communication was difficult from the beginning. Calls and messages were not returned promptly, and I had trouble getting updates about my move. Overall, not very reliable.
I expected a smoother process, but there were several issues along the way. Customer support was difficult to reach, and concerns were not addressed promptly. The experience was disappointing.

10/10 would use again. We were moving my daughter into a 3rd-floor apartment with no elevator. The guys from M Company carried every box and piece of furniture up all those stairs. They never slowed down or complained. They even helped her unpack the heaviest boxes. The whole job took about 5 hours, which was less than they quoted.
Highly recommend this moving crew. I had a bunch of musical instruments, including a keyboard and speakers. They wrapped everything tightly and secured it in the truck. No bumps or marks when it arrived. You can tell they know what they're doing.
